Act as a liaison or contact between clients, laboratory management and department personnel. Also responsible for providing resolution to client service issues and technical support to laboratory personnel and clients. JOB FUNCTIONS Provide quality and timely response to internal and external client inquiries and requests Communicate results problems and discrepancies to clients and follow issue through to a satisfactory conclusion Track and trend client data as required Identify client concerns, complaints, and trends and recommend changes to accommodate client needs Set up new client accounts in LIMS and create required documents for sample submission for new clients Maintain records of all client communications and requirements Notify laboratory of special client requirements and monitor for compliance Ensure compliance to ISO 17025 standards are maintained EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 4-year degree in Food Science, Microbiology or closely related field; Alternatively, equivalent work experience Preferred High school Diploma or GED Required Effective problem prevention and problem-solving skills Required Written and verbal communication skills necessary to cross multiple disciplines Required Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Required Proficiency with LIMS and Client Portal systems Required Ability to interact with clients, affiliates, and employees effectively while maintaining a professional and pleasant work approach even under stressful conditions Required 1+ years of laboratory experience Required SGS is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and as such we recruit, hire, train, and promote persons in all job classifications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetics, status as a protected veteran, or any other characteristics protected by law.
