    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Purpose &amp; Context: </span></p>\n<p><br>The role forms part of the P2i R&amp;D team and will provide technical support to R&amp;D projects as required, particularly around sample preparation, processing operation and analysis of functional nano-coatings. <br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be fully supported, working alongside a team of Technicians and Scientists who conduct and perform scientific experiments and monitor, record, and report on their findings.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Main Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><br>The main aspects of the role include, but are not limited to:<br>• To assist with research and development projects as required.<br>• To conduct scientific experiments and perform tests in the laboratory. <br>• To monitor, record and report work through lab notebooks on a continuous basis as well as via <br>written reports and verbal communication/ presentations. <br>• To ensure work progresses according to plan and inform supervisor if problems arise. <br>• To maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment in the laboratory. <br>• To participate in team discussions. </p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Relationships and Interfaces</span></p>\n<p><br>This role will interact with stakeholders at all levels including:<br>• R&amp;D team, Engineering, Global Product Integration, Technical Sales Support, Facilities and Supply Chain.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills, Behaviours &amp; Experience </span></p>\n<p><br>Essential:<br>• Currently undertaking a Physical Sciences/Material Science/Chemistry degree.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Other Requirements:<br>• Knowledge of chemistry and/or physics, and/or material science (physical sciences preferred).<br>• Ability to work as part of project team &amp; build relationships with colleagues.<br>• Ability to work under pressure to achieve goals to agreed timing.<br>• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).<br>• Motivated to deliver practical results &amp; flexible to changing requirements.<br>• Professional and positive outlook to all tasks and requests from line and project manager.<br>• Good planning and organisation skills - ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritise critical <br>tasks.<br>• Demonstrate a good eye for detail and use of initiative.<br>• Have a good work ethic and contribute ideas to technical discussions and debates.</p>\n<p><br>Desirable:<br>• Practical lab experience.<br>• Experience in writing technical reports.<br>• Workshop experience.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>P2i is a global leader in liquid repellent nanotechnology, driving sustainable solutions and reducing e-waste – located in the prestigious Milton Park: Science &amp; Technology Park, Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
