Description
Overview
The Facilities Engineer will assist departmental leadership in day-to-day management, implementation and oversight of preventative maintenance, and testing and repairs associated with all Environment of Care requirements. This staff member will identify needs; research, obtain, coordinate, and implement solutions to aid efficient operations and growth; and coordinate with external consultants and contractors. The Facilities Engineer may be expected to work outside of standard working hours as needed. This staff member is considered an essential employee and is expected to report to work during weather emergencies.
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and oversee contractors and other vendors providing contract services during maintenance and testing activities to ensure that requirements are accomplished on time, to the specified quality, and within budget.2. Regularly complete building and property condition assessments to minimize unexpected building and utility failures.3. Manage Environment of Care requirements to include, but not limited to, preventative maintenance, equipment testing, system testing, and life safety documentation.4. Maintain building complex systems and ensure any associated work is completed in a professional manner according to applicable building code, Joint Commission, CARF, and/or Institute standards.5. Handle and manipulate general maintenance tools and equipment (i.e. hammers, screw drivers, wrenches, testing equipment, ladders, etc.) as needed to ensure completion of required maintenance.6. Make trips in the maintenance vehicles as required for department needs (e.g., making trips to pick up maintenance supplies). For any vehicles used, keep the department advised of any damages or repairs and maintain a clean interior of vehicle.7. Attend all training and staff meetings as deemed necessary by department.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
EDUCATION: High School degree or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE:• Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant trade experience required, preferably in electrical or mechanical trades.• Experience working in commercial or healthcare environments preferred.
Minimum pay range USD $64,501.01/Yr.
Maximum pay range USD $114,089.46/Yr.
