Overview Job Title: Materials Logistics Manager Job Location: Torrance, CA Salary: $115,000-$135,000/yr Stellant Systems, a premier manufacturer of critical power amplification products where our technologies and products are unparalleled in the industry. Work consists of making basic adjustments in procedures and processes to solve problems. Identifies, defines and addresses general problems that are typically within the immediate job area or team. Problems are generally solved through drawing from prior experiences or standard procedures and basis analysis. Responsibilities Carries out management responsibilities and performance management of bargaining unit and indirect staff in Receiving, Central Stores, Clean Room, Line Side Store Rooms, production areas where material is stored and managed employees in accordance with the organization's policies, and applicable laws that are under Supply Chain Management. Manages by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and by tracking employee attendance and tardiness. Manages time accounting for hourly employees Establishes and executes weekly staffing plan for the warehouse team. Ensures Health & Safety compliance in accordance with company policy and reports any safety violations, first-aid, unsafe conditions, and OSHA violations immediately. Enforces and monitors operations standard operating procedures to meet production/material/shipping/receiving schedules and deadlines. Manages employee’s time by following union guidelines and ensuring adequate stock room support for operations needs. Executes cycle count process and does regular investigation of variances as needed. Identifies and drives measures to improve material handling, shipping, receiving, cycle counting processes. Monitors and reports daily, weekly, and monthly Key Performance Indicator(s) (KPI) for each inventory location to proactively address adverse performance trends. Ensure employees are trained and following the processes according to the guidelines set forth. Proactively engages and coaches cross-functional teams to include assigned staff, and up/down stream stakeholders to drive critical actions that create sustained service-level results along with tracking work completion by type and area of work. Ensures transactions are accurate and the needs of the stakeholders are met in a timely manner. Reviews and carries out necessary inventory adjustments, warehouse transfers, location transfers to ensure proper material flow through the factory, and escalates as needed. Leverages Stellant continuous process improvement methodologies and looks to drive continuous improvement and best-in-class warehouse management performance. Identifies and implements new systems, processes, procedures, work instructions, and other actions that will improve operational performance. Executes monthly shipment plan, reports status and escalates any risk to plan. Qualifications Understands basic supervisory approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, and process execution. Typically requires broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned discipline. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience Minimum education and years of experience requirements are not to be used exclusive of other leveling factors. Substitution of additional relevant education and experience for stated qualifications may be considered.
