Description
The Fellowship is an organization of bridge builders whose vision is that Jews and Christians will reverse their 2,000-year history of discord and replace it with a relationship marked by dialogue, understanding, respect and cooperation. Together we are able to help more than a million Jews in need each year. Our success is built on a culture that celebrates the differences in who we are, what we have experienced, and how we think.
(Chicago/Hybrid) The Data Analyst, Programs and Marketing will collaborate with the programming, marketing, and creative services teams to generate data-driven insights. This role supports both marketing channels and humanitarian program implementation by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data on initiatives and campaigns. The analyst will create reports that improve cross-team visibility and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen marketing communications. This position is based in our Chicago headquarters.
We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Business Analytics or equivalent experience. A minimum of 3 years’ experience with collecting data to synthesize using data analytics and Microsoft tools such as Excel, Power BI, GA4, and other data systems and platforms is required. Individuals with experience working with large data sets and building data tables and reports are preferred.
Essential Job Responsibilities Include:
Collecting and Tracking of Data
Develop detailed reporting to track humanitarian programs, including descriptions of projects, participant numbers, aid items, status, locations, and timelines. Engage in meetings across teams, especially the Programming team, to acquire in-depth knowledge of organization’s humanitarian programs, initiatives, and campaigns. Maintain organized documentation of data sources, methodologies, and results. Information Curation:
Analyze and evaluate program data to craft clear summaries of impacts and communicate these formalized data on organization’s programming aid internally for external use. Research and keep abreast of statistics relating to the organization’s humanitarian focus areas. Collaborate with philanthropy teams to provide comprehensive context, program needs and opportunities for donor discussions and engagement. Conduct analysis of marketing communications performance against industry benchmarks. Create weekly and campaign reports across all marketing channels and partnerships. Content Creation Analysis
Review and fact-check content creations and communications, including publications, fundraising appeals, stewardship reports, and press releases. Ensure the accurate use of statistics and descriptions of programs across all communication materials. Plan and execute A/B tests and experiments to refine marketing communication strategies. Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Control:
Develop, create, and manage standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in operations. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to routinely evaluate current processes and procedures for improved efficiency. Technical & Individual Skills:
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and strong proficiency in identifying, integrating, and validating diverse data sources. Ability to successfully stay integrated with an international team to ensure accuracy and awareness of programming plans and shifts to plans. Curiosity and proactive approach to uncovering insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. Excellent attention to detail with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Must possess a hybrid of technical and soft skills. Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Experience working on customer-facing projects (e.g. fundraising, direct response marketing disciplines) and back-end projects (e.g. operations, technology, finance). Travel internationally as needed. Knowledge of and basic understanding of Christian and Jewish faiths. Knowledge of The Fellowship’s programs with the ability to gather an understanding of our programs. Come and experience all The Fellowship offers, including the ability to make an impact in a global nonprofit with collaborative team members, professional growth opportunities and mission focused work.
