    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>POSITION SUMMARY: &nbsp; To operate and make necessary adjustments to various CNC Horizontal or Vertical Machining Centers, and/or CNC Lathes to produce high quality products to required specifications.</strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Essential Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Responsible for studying blueprints, sketches, drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work, sequence of operations and setup requirements;</li><li>Capable of visualizing finished products, making necessary mathematical calculations and determining allowances for spring, metal flows, shrinkage, fitting, finishing, etc.;</li><li>Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media;</li><li>Ability to recognize design errors and make necessary changes to facilitate producing or checking parts properly and reporting for corrections;</li><li>Have the ability to provide technical guidance, expertise and leadership regarding design and manufacturing of fixtures;</li><li>Must have the ability to train other employees as required;</li><li>Load and unload parts and inspect finished parts to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications. &nbsp;Should be familiar with many or all of the following: &nbsp; Mazak and Daewoo Horizontal Machining Centers, Fadal and Haas Vertical Machining Centers, Mazak and Puma CNC Lathes;</li><li>Must be familiar with machine operations and control settings for operations such as turning, boring, drilling, tapping, thread-milling, profiling and contouring. &nbsp;Make adjustments to the machine to control speed, feed and adjustments to compensate for tool wear as well as make sure machine is working well and producing quality products;</li><li>Must work from drawings and specifications. &nbsp;Familiar with production processes and understands job packet documents. &nbsp;Must be able to set-up repeat jobs and new jobs unsupervised;</li><li>Must have ability to perform in process measurements and keep parts in statistical process control. &nbsp;Good knowledge of tool used for the inspection of parts. &nbsp;Should be familiar with CMC&rsquo;s quality system;</li><li>Perform a variety of general maintenance and show work required or other duties as assigned by supervisor;</li><li>Responsible for machine daily maintenance checks and scheduled preventative maintenance;</li><li>Responsible to keep clean, orderly and safe work areas;</li><li>Specific duties and general shop skills pertaining to: Quality Control, Unsupervised machine adjustments &ndash; tool offsets, and Production processes;</li><li>Adhere to Employee&rsquo;s responsibilities outlined in Cygnus&rsquo; Health &amp; Safety Policy.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Required Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Education with Vo-Tech or Technical School background or equivalent with at least 10 years of machining experience required;&nbsp;</li><li>Journeyperson or NIMS papers preferred;</li><li>Must have working knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances;</li><li>Must have exceptionally strong programming and editing experience;</li><li>Knowledge of machining techniques and methods;</li><li>Good working knowledge of CNC Machine tool operating procedures;</li><li>Good practical skills/mechanically inclined;</li><li>Must possess advanced knowledge of algebra, geometry and trigonometry;</li><li>Good computer and problem-solving skills;</li><li>The ability to work unsupervised with a high level of accuracy;</li><li>Keen attention to detail, concentration and focus;</li><li>Ability to work from technical drawings (blue prints);</li><li>Ability to understand the machining of different materials ( i.e. stainless steel, steel, brass, aluminum, plastics);</li><li>Must be able to stand for long periods of time and safely carry up to 40 pounds;</li><li>Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment (including hot, cold and/or noisy areas);</li><li>Frequent hand to finger, handle, feel objects &amp; tools, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking and hearing;</li><li>May be required to work up to 10 overtime hours per week;</li><li>Physically submit to periodic drug tests (employment is contingent upon favorable results).</li></ul><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Women/Disabilities/Protected Veterans&nbsp;</strong></em></p><p><br></p><p><br></p></div></div></div>\n",
