Description

The Rose Gaming Resort is a $480 million gaming and entertainment complex destination, located alongside I-95 in Dumfries, Virginia. Along with exciting gaming action, The Rose Gaming Resort provides a luxury hotel, eight bars and restaurants, a space for meetings and events, 50,000+ square foot gaming space and over 1,650 Historical Horse Racing machines, and over 80 acres of green space. The Rose Gaming Resort generates an estimated $35.5 million in annual tax revenues and employs more than 500 team members. JOB SUMMARY Under direct supervision of the EVS Supervisor, the EVS Attendant is responsible for cleanliness of all property public areas both inside and outside the casino. Responsibilities include vacuuming, mopping, window washing, restroom cleaning, trash removal, office cleaning, back of house area cleaning, exterior cleaning of electronic games, re-stocking supply shelves, and completes other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker areas, employee break room (floors, walls, dust), and other assigned work areas. Sweep, scrub, and vacuum floors. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Dust and polish metalwork, fixtures, furniture, and equipment on all surface areas. Slot machines and electric escalator. Empty wastebaskets and empty and clean ashtrays. Transport trash and waste to designated disposal area. Replenish restroom supplies according to anticipated need and/or schedules. Provide soap and paper towels to patrons during peak or busy times when necessary. Clean contaminated spills with appropriate cleaning materials and protective equipment. Disinfect lavatory, floors, and fixtures after each use. Transport small equipment or tools between departments as assigned by supervisor. Caution management regarding complaints about misuse of property. Communicate job issues appropriately and only based on facts. Clean windows and doors. Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members. Perform all duties to department standard and/or as directed by leadership. Perform more detailed cleaning as required or assigned. Move, rearrange, and clean furniture. Clean any biohazardous materials when it occurs REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations. Attend required training sessions offered by the Company. Obtain and retain required license(s). Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations. Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco. Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department. Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming. Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Six months previous work experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License      Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.  The employee may also be required to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is subjected to circulate throughout the assigned areas, including the smoking area, actively observing players and functioning of machines.
