Description

Description We are currently recruiting for a Desk Adjuster Level 1 to join our team remotely in Alberta. We can offer in-office, hybrid or fully remote working arrangements. The successful candidate will investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle commercial and personal lines claims on the desktop using a variety of techniques and systems. The candidate will direct field adjusters on a task basis as required. The candidate will participate in ensuring accurate recording, reporting and presentation of files. Responsibilities Investigation, collection, and analysis of claims information Accurate recording, reporting and presentation of files Evaluates coverage, liability and quantum Maintenance of accurate billing, and time and expense records Negotiates, settles and finalizes claims Work with managers to maintain client relations Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in Auto PD and/or property claims. Knowledge of commercial and personal lines in both Property and Auto PD will be considered an asset. Working towards full Independent Adjusting License and CIP Designation with the ability to get an adjusting license in Alberta. Post-secondary education in an insurance related field is an asset. Ability to conduct telephone investigations, evaluate, negotiate and settle first and third-party commercial lines claims. Proficient in maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction and reserve records. Advanced computer skills including Office 365 and Windows 10. Excellent communication skills. Must be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer service. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong analytical and mathematical ability. #LI-CD1 Company Why Crawford?
