We’re looking for a talented Mine Planning Engineer to join our Albian Long Range Mine Planning team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in developing and optimizing integrated mine plans while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as technical experts, operations staff, and regulatory stakeholders to support strategic mine development and maximize asset value.</p>\n <ul>\n  <li><b>Job location:&nbsp;</b>Calgary, Alberta</li>\n  <li><b>Shift schedule:&nbsp;</b>5x2, 8-hour shifts (Monday-Friday)</li>\n  <li><b>Safety sensitive position:</b> Yes</li>\n  <li><b>Application deadline</b>: June 21, 2026</li>\n </ul>\n <p><b>Key Accountabilities:</b></p>\n <ul>\n  <li><b>Mine Planning &amp; Optimization&nbsp;</b>- Collaborate with key stakeholders across operations, geotechnical, geology, tailings, and regulatory teams to develop detailed mine plans and enable efficient operations at the Albian oil sands site. Oversee mine design projects including pit walls, haul roads, dumps, and dyke structures to ensure alignment with strategic goals</li>\n  <li><b>Life-of-Mine Planning, Closure &amp; Regulatory Support&nbsp;</b>- Lead the development of Albian’s life-of-mine plans and assess alternative strategies to maximize long-term value and sustainability. Contribute to the development and evolution of mine closure plans and assist in the preparation of supporting regulatory submissions</li>\n  <li><b>Mining Model Management &amp; Performance Reporting</b> - Maintain and update mining models and engineering designs to ensure accuracy and consistency with operational requirements. Monitor, analyze, and report on mine performance metrics, providing insights and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement</li>\n  <li><b>Value Optimization &amp; Engineering Standards Implementation -&nbsp;</b>Drive value creation by optimizing the integrated mine plan, with a focus on reducing operating and capital costs.
