Kennedy Krieger Institute offers more than 55 outpatient clinics, home and community programs, education, research, pediatric neurobehavioral and rehabilitation/feeding inpatient units and a day hospital. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm, hours are flexible and hybrid schedule.  Must be available to work outside of normal working hours as needed.  Must be able to travel in a reliable personal vehicle to and from different locations and sites within Maryland, approximately 75% of the time. </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits You Will Receive</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>$10,500/year tuition advancement/reimbursement for employees earning undergrad and graduate degrees (pro-rated for 16-39 hours/week)</li>\n <li>50% college tuition grant for dependents up to $32,000/year for eligible employees budgeted 30-40 hours per week who have 5 years of service or more.</li>\n <li>Recently increased differentials </li>\n <li>Student loan repayment for employees budgeted 30-40 hours per week ($100 per month up to $10,500)</li>\n <li>Bonus incentive for a masters degree</li>\n <li>Bonus incentive for nursing certification </li>\n <li>Medical, Dental, Vision (active the month after you attend HR) most places make you wait 3-6 months)</li>\n <li>Enhanced Mental Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401K Automatic 3% employer-funded “base contribution” with additional 1.5%-3% based on years of service</li>\n <li>Sick and Vacation accrual upon first day of work </li>\n <li>Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (Child Care Spending Account) </li>\n <li> <strong>$2,000 </strong><u>for each eligible child </u>through the age of 6; $<strong>600 </strong>for each child age 7-10 </li>\n <li>Progressive Career Ladder with salary increase</li>\n <li>Program to earn free CEUs</li>\n <li><strong>Free secure and monitored parking</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strategically develops, establishes, nurtures, and maintains positive relationships with referral customers, including patients and families, hospital/health system partners, payors, and business customers.</li>\n <li>Build and sustain trusted external relationships with referring hospitals, case managers, physicians, and office managers through on-site visits, calls, and timely issue resolution to grow inpatient referrals and meet census/throughput goals.</li>\n <li>Assess admission appropriateness via in-person assessments and referring source coordination as well as family discussions about programs.</li>\n <li>Represent programs at conferences and community events; educate the provider community by providing in-services and professional presentations for referral sources and stakeholder groups. </li>\n <li>Collaborate with the Public Relations and Marketing department/External Relations to develop targeted materials and referral messaging; contribute market intelligence and referent feedback to leadership. </li>\n <li>Serve as a clinical expert for insurance and partner with the Patient Financial Services department to understand referral-related financial implications and insurance considerations.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate referral, admission, and disposition data in approved systems (e.g., Electronic Medical Record (EMR), referral trackers/Customer Relationship Management (CRM), report trends, pipeline, and conversion metrics. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<p><u>Education:</u> Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN or enrolled in a BSN program to be completed within 2 ½ years of hiring date.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u>Experience</u>: Minimum 3 years of care management experience in a hospital care setting.  Demonstrated client services/relationship management and/or outreach/marketing experience in healthcare settings is required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u>License:</u> Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license from Maryland or a compact state.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u>Certification: </u>Current CPR certification that included hands on skills. </p>\n<p>Related case management, quality assurance, or utilization review certification preferred. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Kennedy Krieger is an approved site for the Nurse Corps Loan Repayment program!
