    "description": "<h2>Position Scope</h2>\n<p>ML Northern is seeking FUEL & LUBE TECHNICIANS to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>For this role, ML Northern offers a combined rate of up to <strong>$53.33/hour</strong> as well as room for growth!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Where You’ll Be Working</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Site: Syncrude/Suncor Sites</li>\n <li>Schedule: 14 x 14 or 14 xx 7, 12-hour days (paid for 11.5 hours). </li>\n <li>Accommodations: Camp is <strong>not</strong> provided</li>\n <li>Transportation: Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after shift).</li>\n <li>Overtime: Provided after 8 hours in a day or 44 hours in a week.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are proud to work with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.  Successful candidates will become a part of that union.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>What’s In It for You?</u></strong></p>\n<p>Benefits are important and we offer lots!</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Up to a combined rate of pay of $53.33/ hour</li>\n <li>Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay allocated to each paycheck</li>\n <li>Earn up to 61 hours of overtime per 14-day rotation</li>\n <li>Night shift premium +$1.20 / hour</li>\n <li>Boot Allowance </li>\n <li>Paid bi-weekly </li>\n <li>Membership with one of the largest IUOE locals in North America </li>\n <li>Benefits and pension after 400 hours worked, including medical and dental benefits</li>\n <li>Transportation to and from site, save on gas expenses!</li>\n <li>PPE provided, just bring your own CSA certified steel toed boots</li>\n <li>Room for growth and future advancements</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>What You’ll Be Doing</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Fueling/lubricating heavy equipment in the field. </li>\n <li>Assist with PM/Lube Services at Lube Islands and in the field (oil and Filter changes)</li>\n <li>Daily Fueling and shift servicing or equipment at the Lube Islands</li>\n <li>Daily servicing/Fueling of the large loading equipment in the mine</li>\n <li>Assisting maintenance with lube extraction/refilling during repairs</li>\n <li>Fueling and greasing of mining & support equipment, with some labourer duties</li>\n <li>Help in all tasks including general yard clean up, assisting mechanics and servicepersons and other day to day tasks as directed by the maintenance supervisor.</li>\n <li>Very physically demanding position working in adverse condition</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards and procedures  </li>\n <li>Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE</li>\n <li>Reviewing safe work plans/ hazard assessment with prior to job commencement and follow all requirements</li>\n <li>Complete equipment/ area walk-arounds, safety checks and field level risk assessments and ensure all equipment is running properly</li>\n <li>Report any necessary or anticipated repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors immediately</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>What Makes You the ONE</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Have a valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement</li>\n <li>Must be able to operate a standard vehicle</li>\n <li>Preference will be given to candidates with related experience</li>\n <li>Must be a self-starter</li>\n <li>Previous experience in the serviceperson (serviceperson) role</li>\n <li>Experience operating forklift, bobcat and loader would be an asset</li>\n <li>Aerial Work Platform (AWP) and Fall Arrest Certification would be an asset</li>\n <li>Access to Suncor, Syncrude and Syncrude Aurora & Kearl</li>\n <li>A safety-first attitude</li>\n <li>Attentive and possess strong listening skills</li>\n <li>High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset.</li>\n <li>Be proficient in English, both verbally and written</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Summary</h2>\n<p>If you are chosen to move forward in our hiring process for a site-based role, you will be asked to provide the following:</p>\n<li>Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement and ability to provide a recent Driver’s Abstract</li>\n<li>Valid CSO </li>\n<li>Silica Awareness </li>\n<li>Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness</li>\n<li>Silica Awareness</li>\n<li>OHS Alberta Legislation</li>\n<li>Field Ergonomics</li>\n<li>Be subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites</li>\n<li>Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:</li>\n<ul>\n <li>Breath Alcohol Test</li>\n <li>Urine Drug Test</li>\n <li>Fitness-to-Work Health Assessment</li>\n <li>Audiometric Testing</li>\n <li>Vision Screening</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Once dispatched the following processes will occur:</p>\n<li>Will receive a call to set up all required pre-employment testing</li>\n<li>An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out</li>\n<li>After all results and paperwork are received, candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site-specific details.</li>\n<p><em>Please note: The onboarding process can take anywhere from 3-8 business days.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE, SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED VIA PHONE OR EMAIL.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong><u>ML Northern in a Nutshell</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Certified lube and fuel truck professionals with a long history of serving Alberta’s oil patch, ML Northern is built on experience and expertise.
