We have editors, strategists, medical writers, client services managers and designers, who all work closely together on a variety of projects to ensure they are completed to the highest standard for our clients.</p>\n<p>Our core values, which form our Porterhouse PATH (Passion, Ambition, Togetherness and Humour), are built into our daily working lives and contribute to our culture and strong relationships.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Senior Medical Writer (Offices in London, Reading and Nottingham) – job description</span></p>\n<p>As a Senior Medical Writer, your key responsibilities will include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Writing clear, grammatically correct, technical and creative medical/scientific text for a variety of audiences (e.g. healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical sales teams and patients)</li>\n<li>Ensuring the accuracy of all information, data and referencing for the publications/documents produced</li>\n<li>Ensuring projects remain within specification and liaising with clients to negotiate changes where necessary</li>\n<li>Being proactive in tracking projects and chasing comments from clients and authors as well as determining timelines</li>\n<li>Working on a variety of projects at the same time</li>\n<li>Learning and understanding new therapy areas quickly and comprehensively, inspiring confidence with the client</li>\n<li>Working closely with clients, physicians and investigators (often acting as the sole point of contact within the company)</li>\n<li>Contributing ideas for business proposals and new projects</li>\n<li>Helping and advising junior members of staff</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desired background and skills</span></p>\n<p>We are looking for the very best life sciences graduates in order to maintain our reputation as a <br>first-class medical communications agency delivering scientific programmes of the highest quality.</p>\n<p>Specifically, we are looking for individuals with the following skills, attributes and qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>A bachelor’s degree (2:1 or higher) in a life science (biological sciences, biomedical sciences, biochemistry, or a closely related subject) and a strong academic record; appropriate postgraduate qualifications will add to the strength of the application</li>\n<li>At least 3 years of experience as a Medical Writer in an agency environment</li>\n<li>Experience of managing and developing a team of Medical Writers, and proven leadership and influencing skills in a multidisciplinary environment</li>\n<li>A strong work ethic and a solution-focused ‘can do’ attitude combined with intellectual curiosity and creativity</li>\n<li>A passion for medical communications and education</li>\n<li>The ability to work effectively in teams in a fast-paced, dynamic and creative environment</li>\n</ul>",
