    "description": "<h2>Role Summary</h2>\n<p>Free People is looking for a Senior Product Development Coordinator to implement the business and operational aspects of the Brand's product category vision. This role requires a showcase of expertise in the knits category. The Senior Product Development Coordinator is a skilled individual who can operate independently.  </p>\n<h2>Role Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Facilitate and execute brand’s vision through the appropriate allocation of product and the sourcing of materials that deliver the right aesthetic while meeting product cost and timing requirements.</li>\n <li>Achieve seasonal calendar actualization successfully meeting target delivery dates. </li>\n <li>Ensure that deadlines are met; communicate issues pro-actively.</li>\n <li>Develop relationships with supplier base to ensure alignment of category business needs and successful business partnerships.</li>\n <li>Attend Concept and Sketch Review meetings to understand and clarify design’s intention, tone, and important style aspects.   </li>\n <li>Collaborate with cross functional partners to develop category strategy for the season.</li>\n <li>Own individual style development and allocate designs to appropriate sources independently.</li>\n <li>Analyze and identify opportunities to improve adoption rates and approved style count targets as dictated by seasonal line plan.   </li>\n <li>Coordinate with cross functional partners on category development process, including research of pre-style development, tracking and review of pre-style packages, ensuring compliance of product within category to internal testing standards, and managing sample evaluation, accuracy, and quality.</li>\n <li>Transition adopted styles to production team, including approval target dates, status, and production concerns. </li>\n <li>Mentor junior level team members.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Role Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years of progressive development and sourcing experience within a complex, fast-paced apparel environment.  Specialty retail and/or direct-to-consumer experience is preferred </li>\n <li>Proven success building cross-functional relationships, and effectively communicating with internal and external customers </li>\n <li>Proficient understanding of concept and practice of product construction & materials  </li>\n <li>Works with a high sense of urgency and integrity, easily and quickly adapts to change, and is motivated by deadlines and new challenges </li>\n <li>Ability to land costs </li>\n <li>Minimally dependent on manager on how to carry out work</li>\n <li>Able to execute on projects when given clear guidelines and strategy</li>\n <li>Strong computer skills are required, including Outlook, Google Docs, PowerPoint, and Excel </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>The Perks</h2>\n<p>URBN offers comprehensive Perks & Benefits to employees.
