    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p><strong>Summary/Objective<br></strong>The quality specialist position inspects materials and products, parts and components for quality and conformance to specifications.</p><p><strong>Essential Functions<br></strong>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Examines material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds, among other non-conformances and findings to supervisors for corrective action.</li><li>Performs all types of inspections, such as incoming, first article, in-process, and final.</li><li>Compiles quality records.</li><li>Assisting production departments in determining the dispositioning of defective items in-house and the Purchasing Department on defective product from outside vendors.</li><li>Works with engineering on any problems discovered on blueprints and bill-of-materials and working with the Industrial Engineer on discrepancies with routers.</li><li>Takes care of equipment calibration requirements for various departments.</li><li>Uses measuring equipment such as optical comparator, Cadillac gauge, surf tester, and tri-mics, as well as reading blueprints, height gauges, and doing basic math.</li></ul><p><strong>Competencies</strong></p><ul><li>Reading, writing and verbal communication</li><li>Initiative &amp; Safety Conscious</li><li>Analytical and mathematical skills</li><li>Time Management</li><li>Ethical and Team Oriented</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Required Education and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Education and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Associate degree or equivalent experience</li><li>Two (2) years of manufacturing experience in Quality Control or similar job function &nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1<sup>st</sup> shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm, or 2<sup>nd</sup> shift &ndash; 3:30pm to midnight, 40 hours per week.
