Join our highly motivated team and take pride in your work as we create a better future together.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are looking for an experienced chief engineer in Atlanta, GA to report to the General Manager on all areas of building and property operations. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform daily walkthroughs of property and overall daily visual check of HVAC, irrigation, any roof leaks and other pertinent equipment, as well as turning on common area music and directories.</li>\n <li>Monitor and oversee the vendors who maintain and repair the systems (i.e. fire alarm, fire sprinkler, etc.) and ensure work is completed in a satisfactory manner and meets with the service contract requirements and applicable codes.</li>\n <li>Monitor/maintain responsibility for tenant services, preventative maintenance, inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance and technical proficiency.</li>\n <li>Perform minor plumbing, electrical systems and general building repairs.</li>\n <li>Formulate and implement the preventative maintenance program for the building.</li>\n <li>Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors, in addition to review bids for projected jobs. </li>\n <li>Be able to operate/evaluate HVAC building control systems to operate efficiently.</li>\n <li>Comply with all policies and procedures established for the building.</li>\n <li>Ability to work long hours occasionally and some weekends.</li>\n <li>Act as the on-call engineer for the facility.</li>\n <li>Actively participate in emergency response procedures, fire drills, technical and safety training programs.</li>\n <li>Perform all work using the proper safety equipment and in a safe manner.</li>\n <li>All other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in multi-story office building Maintenance operations.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of all HVAC systems and controls. </li>\n <li>Knowledge of maintenance and operation of building and fire life safety systems.</li>\n <li>Good interpersonal skills and a positive team attitude.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of computers and operations and office automation applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.</li>\n <li>Strong customer service orientation.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.</li>\n <li>High school diploma or GED.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2><i>Our Equal Opportunity Commitment</i></h2>\n<p><strong>Our Equal Opportunity Commitment</strong></p>\n<p>Avison Young is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity within our workforce.
