    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span><strong>Civil Associate, Water Resources</strong></span></p>\n<p><span>(Hybrid)&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span><strong>What We're Looking For:</strong></span></p>\n<p><span>Michael Baker International is seeking a highly motivated Civil Associate to join our highly collaborative Water team in San Antonio, TX!</span></p>\n<p><span><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></span></p>\n<p><span>As a part of our Water Practice, you will assist Project Managers with tasks such as stormwater master planning, design of stormwater systems, culverts, bridges, and drainage systems, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, river restoration, and river mechanics and geomorphology in order to assist state, regional, municipal, watershed groups, and other clients. We are searching for candidates that can be role models among peers, that are people and client-focused, and those that seek to be impactful and decisive.</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Most of your day would be spent on a team performing various tasks for projects in the following disciplines: watershed assessments, watershed planning studies, storm water/drainage master plans, stream channel design, storm drain design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain mapping studies, and flood control.</span></li>\n <li><span>Perform engineering calculations, prepare design and construction plans in CADD software, generate construction specifications, develop construction quantities and cost estimates, and perform construction oversight.</span></li>\n <li><span>You will work with Project Engineers and Managers who will guide you in the development of deliverables.</span></li>\n <li><span>Feel a sense of pride in knowing that you are an important part of the organization and are contributing to success of your clients, your organization and yourself!</span></li>\n <li><span>Exploring, refining, and developing surface water workflows for engineering studies.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>What You’ll Need to Succeed:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field</span></li>\n <li><span>Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to attain one within 6 months</span></li>\n <li><span>2 - 4 years of related experience in the water resources field and experience with hydrologic and hydraulic (H&amp;H) models such as HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS</span></li>\n <li><span>Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include ArcMap, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models like HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS, and Computer Aided Design and Drafting software like Civil 3D)</span></li>\n <li><span>Basic understanding of stormwater management and principles of hydrology and hydraulics of stormwater runoff</span></li>\n <li><span>Organized and determined, with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing project obligations</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience preparing engineering related calculations and analyses, analyzing data in spreadsheets and programming tools, preparing visual aids, and contributing to Technical Memoranda and Reports</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience preparing plans and specifications for surface and storm water design and stream channel restoration design projects</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities</span></li>\n <li><span>Ownership and accountability for quality deliverables</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to be flexible&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>Compensation:</strong></span></p>\n<p><span>The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
