Conduct safety training, inspections, and audits to mitigate risks. Collaborate with department leadership to develop safety plans and address hazards, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Support implementation of all corporate safety initiatives and programs </li>\n <li>Develop, refine, and administer department specific training with a focus on safety.</li>\n <li>Track and report on employee training, JSA’s, SOP’s, Intelex, ELC’s and other departmental safety requirements.</li>\n <li>Develop auditing methods to ensure compliance and eliminate drift.</li>\n <li>Participate in incident investigation related to incidents that occur within the department.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with department leadership to track and maintain TCOS initiatives.</li>\n <li>Coordinate 3rd party training for specific jobs/tasks related to the department.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understanding of “Take Control of Safety” initiatives & general safety knowledge</li>\n <li>Training and educational experience</li>\n <li>Communication skills</li>\n <li>Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)</li>\n <li>Incident investigation skills</li>\n <li>Organization, structure, prioritization, attention to detail</li>\n <li>Problem solving</li>\n <li>Adaptability</li>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>College degree in related field</li>\n <li>Relevant professional certification(s) – Certified Safety Professional</li>\n <li>Process, departmental understanding</li>\n <li>Previous safety training experience</li>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong> </strong><strong> </strong></em></p>\n<p><strong><em>Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers. </em></strong></p>",
