If you are committed to helping students achieve academic success and preparing them for college and career opportunities, we encourage you to apply.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>For more information about our Teacher Evaluation Method, see the Danielson Framework for Teaching.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>For more information about our schools please visit the following Social Media pages: YouTube, Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram & Twitter! </p>\n<p><strong>Please note that the starting salary is $38,000.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Support arrival and dismissal of students assuring that they get to correct classrooms;</li>\n <li>Monitors student behavior and maintains discipline in the in-school suspension room;</li>\n <li>Explain expected conduct and achievement; </li>\n <li>Assign and check student work during in school and out of school suspension periods and review student progress;</li>\n <li>Discuss and develop behavior plans for students with administrators, teachers and parents;</li>\n <li>Monitor and report inappropriate behavior by students to administration;</li>\n <li>Provides personalized attention and assistance to students to develop or improve skills in academic area; </li>\n <li>Monitor hallways before and after school; </li>\n <li>Confers regularly with teacher(s) to discuss plans, receives professional guidance and facilitates professional evaluation of student's progress;</li>\n <li>Escort students during break periods and lunch periods as needed; </li>\n <li>Record and file records on students receiving after school detention;</li>\n <li>Provide supervision for students who are assigned to in-school suspension classroom; </li>\n <li>Work with students and/or staff members during the student reflection period on issues such as behavior management and the prevention of undesirable behaviors that resulted in students being assigned to ISS;</li>\n <li>Attend faculty meeting, professional learning sessions; accompanies and helps with the supervision of the class on field trips;</li>\n <li>Maintains a professional code of ethic; and</li>\n <li>Perform related work as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in the role preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma required; </li>\n <li>At least two (2) years of college (min 60 college credits) with an emphasis on coursework in education or counseling preferred</li>\n <li>Two years of related work experience required </li>\n <li>Good understanding of the field of child development, student behavior and of instructional methods and techniques; </li>\n <li>Ability to learn new methods and techniques; </li>\n <li>Considerable patience and ability to work with children; </li>\n <li>Ability to work harmoniously with and provide a broad range of assistance to the instructional staff; and </li>\n <li>Ability to follow oral and written instructions; </li>\n <li>Good understanding of Friendship Public Charter School Disciplinary Policies and Procedures; </li>\n <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills; and </li>\n <li>Strong ability to work with diverse populations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>FPCS’s policy is to provide equal employment opportunity to all qualified applicants and employees regardless of their race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, genetic information, veteran status, status as a special disabled veteran, or any other protected criteria as established by federal, state, or local laws.
