The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting foundation, manufacturing industry experience, and a passion for process improvement and technology. This position is both hands-on and strategic, supporting day-to-day accounting while helping drive long-term operations.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><em>Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:</em></p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><u>Accounting &amp; Close</u></p><ul><li>Oversee all general ledger activity, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes.</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.</li></ul><p><u>Financial Reporting &amp; Analysis</u></p><ul><li>Prepare and review financial statements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management reporting packages.</li><li>Perform variance, trend, and ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and improve financial performance.</li></ul><p><u>Technology&nbsp;</u></p><ul><li>&nbsp;Strong affinity for systems, software applications, and process improvement, with the ability to quickly learn, adopt, and optimize new technologies</li><li>Strong working knowledge with using Microsoft Suite, especially Excel and Outlook</li><li>Proactive technology user who can become a systems “power user” and internal resource/trainer over time</li><li>Experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC) and Accounting Seed preferred</li></ul><p><u>Manufacturing &amp; Operational Finance&nbsp;</u></p><ul><li>Partner with operations to ensure accurate cost accounting, including inventory, work-in-process (WIP), and job costing.</li><li>Analyze production costs, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption to improve gross margins and operational performance.</li><li>Monitor and evaluate margin performance by product line, project, and customer.</li></ul><p><u>Internal Controls &amp; Compliance</u></p><ul><li>Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure financial accuracy, asset protection, and audit readiness.</li><li>Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.</li></ul><p><u>Tax &amp; External Coordination</u></p><ul><li>Oversee tax compliance (income, sales/use, and other filings) in coordination with external advisors.</li><li>Manage relationships with external CPA firms, including financial statement reviews/audits and timely resolution of findings.</li></ul><p><u>Team Leadership &amp; Development</u></p><ul><li>Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff; establish accountability, cross-training, and team scalability.</li></ul>",
