Senior Mine Geologist – Drilling  and Reconciliation Musselwhite Mine Orla Mining is striving to be the emerging gold producer of choice with a geographically diversified asset base, a prospective development and exploration portfolio, an experienced management team with a successful track record, and a high-quality board and shareholder base. Orla operates the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine, located in Zacatecas State, Central Mexico. This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment located beneath the oxide resources. We are also advancing permitting on our South Railroad Project, a feasibility-stage, open-pit heap leach project located on the prolific Carlin trend in Nevada. This project is part of our larger South Carlin Complex, which includes a prospective land package. We recently acquired the Musselwhite Mine located in Northern Ontario on Lake Opapimiskan, a gold mine with more than 25 years of operating history. The addition of Musselwhite has allowed Orla to more than double our gold production and provide strategic entry into a Tier 1 mining jurisdiction. The Musselwhite Mine is highly prospective with potential to expand resources and mine life for years to come. Purpose: Reporting to the Chief Mine Geologist, the Senior Mine Geologist – Drilling and Reconciliation – will drive operational efficiencies in the drilling department through rigorous contract management, technical optimization of drill patterns, and the implementation of KPIs to reduce the total cost per meter while maintaining high safety standards. They also perform detailed spatial and statistical reconciliation between the long-term resource model, short-term grade control, and mill figures. Identify trends in model performance and provide actionable feedback to the mineral resource geologist. Responsibilities include: Drilling Program Strategy: Strategically design and execute the resource delineation drilling program. You will own the budget, schedule, and contractor relationships, with a focus on optimizing "all-in" drilling costs through technical innovation and rigorous contract oversight. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Mine Planning and Engineering teams to ensure drilling data is integrated into the 18-month rolling forecast and Life-of-Mine (LOM) designs. Reconciliation and Reporting: Lead the mine’s monthly tonnage and grade reconciliation. You will directly prepare and investigate geological factors contributing to model-to-mill variance, providing critical feedback to the Resource team to improve future estimation parameters. You will also be responsible for training other geologists to perform the month-end reconciliation. Mentorship & Leadership: Act as a technical mentor to the geology team, ensuring high standards of data integrity and providing leadership coverage for the department as required. Safety and Risk: Lead by example in all safety protocols; identify geological hazards and communicate risks and opportunities clearly to the Mining, Engineering, Rock Mechanics and Drilling Operations teams. Operational Support: When required, you will provide coverage for the Senior Mine Geologists when they are unavailable. Education, Experience & Competencies: Education: 4-year Sc. degree in Geology or Earth Sciences. Experience: 5+ years of underground production geology experience (Gold/Precious metals preferred). Demonstrated experience completing monthly mine reconciliations. Demonstrated experience with medium and long-range drill program creation, scheduling, budgeting, and management. Certification: Geo designation from Ontario. Proficiency in Deswik (MDM/CAD), AcQuire, and, Power BI is highly Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite is required. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in an underground environment when required, including lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs and reaching/climbing. Cultural Fit: A team-oriented professional comfortable working in a diverse, multicultural environment. Working Conditions: The work schedule for this position is 14 on,14 days off including travel to site, working 12-hour days. Compensation: The salary for this position is $ 144,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications. This role is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual short-term incentive The target annual bonus for this position is 25% of base salary, subject to individual and company performance. The Company offers a Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP), including an automatic 5% employer contribution, with the option for employees to receive up to an additional 4% employer match on employee.
