You will coach team members, consult on clinical matters, and lead performance improvement initiatives to elevate the patient experience. \n<br>\n<br><strong>WHERE YOU’LL WORK</strong>\n<br>\n<br>\n Our PCAs work at a local VITAS office every day, supporting team members as needed. \n<br>\n<br><strong>WHAT’S EXPECTED FROM YOU</strong>\n<br>\n<br>\n Our PCAs blend leadership skills and clinical expertise to effectively manage their team, ensuring quality and continuity of care for patients. In addition to your RN license and at least four years of healthcare management experience, you’ll have the traits that make the VITAS Difference: Commitment, Compassion, and a Can-do Attitude. \n<br>\n You will keep patient welfare at the center of everything you do, giving your best each day in service of our core commitment: Extending comfort and dignity to all people at the end of their life’s journey. \n<br>\n<br><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong>\n<br>\n<ul>\n <li>Current Registered Nurse License to practice in the state where the VITAS Program is located.</li>\n <li>Two years of home health and hospice experience.</li>\n <li>Four years of healthcare management experience.</li>\n <li>Hands-on fiscal and budgetary experience.</li>\n <li>Experience managing a team of leaders.</li>\n</ul><strong>PCA Requirements and Qualifications by State: CA</strong>\n<br>\n<br><strong>Regulation</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>California Standard of Quality Patient Care: Section 5.3 Director of Patient Care Services</li>\n</ul><strong>PCA Requirements and Qualifications</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Director of Patient Care Services Required</li>\n <li>RN with BSN or another health related field and</li>\n <li>3 years experience within last 5 in hospice, home health, primary care clinic, or health facility and</li>\n <li>One year in a supervisory or administrative position</li>\n</ul><strong>OR</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>RN with 4 years experience in last 5 in a hospice, home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility and</li>\n <li>One year in a supervisory or administrative capacity.</li>\n</ul>\n<br><strong>EDUCATION</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent preferred. See table above for specific requirements per state.</li>\n</ul>",
