          "text": "<p><strong><b>Roles &amp; Responsibilities:</b></strong></p><p>Execution Services group operates as a small corporate division and resides within technology. The role of this group is to provide technology solutions to Discretionary and Quant traders. </p><p><u>General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</u></p><p>·    Develop execution programs using Java &amp; C++</p><p>·    Understand and own technology aspects of the firm’s primary trading platform</p><p>·    Develop peripheral applications to integrate internal systems with vendor products</p><p>·    Provide Level 2 support for all Execution related systems</p><p>·    Generate ad hoc quantitative analysis for traders and senior management level to reflect market events</p><p>The person in this role must be a developer coming from a financial background with a desire to excel in the front office system. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of software lifecycle, design and development experience of writing multi-tier/distributed applications. In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate must have excellent communication/interpersonal skills and possess strong ability to work independently or as a team member.</p><p>A strong desire to learn and gain exposure to the business side of a trading operation is critical to success in this position.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong><b>Job Requirements:</b></strong></p><p><u>Senior Developer:</u></p><p>·    Ongoing design and development and maintenance of existing and new trading applications and systems.</p><p>·    Must have ability to take a project from specifications to deployment</p><p>·    Understand the detail architecture and implementation of the company’s applications and systems and build and expand on top of this base</p><p>·    Ability to communicate via producing documentation at all levels, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating Trading systems knowledge with technology skills</p><p>·    Strong knowledge of and experience in supervising and executing all phases of the technology life cycle, based on proven project management and testing methodologies</p><p><u>Technical skills:</u></p><p>·    Java is preferred technology (C++ and C# is a plus).</p><p>·    SQL development (working knowledge is acceptable).</p><p>·    Hands on design and development experience. Should be able to specify coding standards and lead architecture/design reviews.</p><p>·    A deep knowledge of technical architecture design and a good understanding of technology tools and components to reasonably argue for and against all components (middleware, database, reporting tools, etc.) in that architecture.</p><p><u>Business Knowledge:</u></p><p>·    Familiar with US and International Equity markets.</p><p>·    Able to translate business requirements into technical specifications.</p>",
