Henry Hudson's Pub is looking for a line cook to join their team! Hudson's is a local neighborhood bar that has been in business 42 years!
About the Role:
The Kitchen role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of food preparation and service within a culinary environment. This position focuses on maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene while supporting the kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The individual will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items according to established recipes, and assisting with inventory management. Collaboration with cooks, servers, and management is key to meeting customer expectations and operational goals. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the reputation and success of the establishment by upholding culinary excellence and operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety standards. Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or food service environment. Certification in food safety or sanitation (e.g., ServSafe). Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays. Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Skills:
The required skills such as food preparation knowledge and adherence to safety standards are applied daily to ensure that all dishes meet quality and hygiene expectations. Physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently under pressure enable the candidate to maintain productivity during busy service periods.
