We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Senior Executive Assistant to support Senior Leaders within our Office of the COO and Strategic Investments & Innovation Center (SPIN) teams. SPIN is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing minority investments and strategic partnerships that accelerate the firm’s long-term growth agenda. The team operates at the intersection of corporate strategy, M&A, venture investing, and product innovation, with a particular focus on financial infrastructure, digital assets, data platforms, and next-generation fintech. This role is located in New York, NY. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Provide administrative and executive support in a fast-paced environment Proactively manage a complex calendar with intention and strategic priorities in mind Work with stakeholders to prepare effective pre-reads and materials Work closely and effectively with the Executives’ team Manage extensive domestic and international travel arrangements including detailed itineraries Support day-to-day needs that keep the executive operating at their best Manage both planned and last-minute requests with discretion and poised execution Bring a growth mindset – comfortable wearing multiple hats, pitching in as needed Frequent engagement with leadership-level contacts both inside and outside the organization. Conduct research, compile, analyze, and summarize information for reports and correspondence, while managing sensitive and complex situations with discretion and tact. Drive process and product innovation. To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: High school/secondary school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Applicable vocational training such as courses on relevant business software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), basic business writing, or similar preferred; AA degree or relevant business certifications preferred. 7+ years of total work experience preferred; Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of some experience. Proven ability to exercise autonomy in managing complex, confidential administrative duties requiring broad knowledge of organizational policies and procedures The candidate must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Experience/interest in leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency both within the administrative function and in support of the executives BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
