This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic client engagement to deliver innovative solutions for Iowa DOT and other transportation stakeholders.</p>\n   <p>You’ll collaborate with our local staff and regional team to support ongoing contracts, identify new opportunities, and ensure high-quality service delivery tailored to Iowa’s unique infrastructure landscape.</p>\n   <p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p>\n   <ul>\n    <li>Provide expert guidance on Iowa specific standards and design</li>\n    <li>Conduct quality control reviews for highway and bridge design projects</li>\n    <li>Lead technical discussions with clients and internal teams&nbsp;</li>\n    <li>Advise on alternative solutions to complex technical challenges</li>\n    <li>Support business development initiatives, including proposal development and client outreach</li>\n    <li>Build and maintain strong relationships with Iowa DOT and other regional transportation agencies</li>\n    <li>Represent Michael Baker International at industry events, conferences, and client meetings</li>\n    <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and client satisfaction</li>\n    <li>Travel occasionally within Iowa for client meetings and site visits</li>\n   </ul>\n   <p><strong>Desired Experience:</strong></p>\n   <ul>\n    <li>Prior experience in the Iowa transportation market (either for the Iowa DOT or local agencies in Iowa</li>\n    <li>Prior experience participating in engineering industry organizations in Iowa</li>\n    <li>Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and persuasively</li>\n    <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)</li>\n    <li>Business development experience in the transportation sector is a plus</li>\n   </ul>\n   <p><strong>What You Need to Succeed:</strong></p>\n   <ul>\n    <li>Active Professional Engineer license in Iowa</li>\n    <li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a related field</li>\n    <li>Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Iowa as needed</li>\n    <li>Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in transportation consulting or public agency work</li>\n   </ul>\n   <div>\n    <strong>Compensation:</strong>\n   </div>\n   <div>\n    &nbsp;\n   </div>\n   <div>\n    The approximate compensation range for this position is&nbsp;$50.00 to $65.00 an hour. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
