This role ensures the organization can make reliable customer commitments, stabilize production schedules, reduce expediting, improve working capital performance, and successfully scale operations through growth initiatives, facility transitions, and consolidations.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities not limited to:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>1) Enterprise S&amp;OP Ownership (Primary Accountability)</p><ul><li>Design, implement, and own VMC’s enterprise S&amp;OP framework and operating cadence&nbsp;</li><li>Facilitate weekly S&amp;OP meetings with structured inputs, decisions, accountability, and action tracking&nbsp;</li><li>Lead monthly Executive S&amp;OP reviews with a forward-looking view of demand, capacity, inventory, supplier risk, and financial impact&nbsp;</li><li>Define and enforce planning governance including frozen windows, change control, and escalation processes&nbsp;</li><li>Drive planning discipline and cross-functional alignment across operations, sales, customer service, finance, purchasing, and manufacturing leadership&nbsp;</li></ul><p>2) Demand, Backlog &amp; Customer Commitment Governance</p><ul><li>Own enterprise demand visibility, backlog health, and shipment-date credibility&nbsp;</li><li>Partner with Sales and Customer Service to ensure customer commitments align with achievable production capacity and material readiness&nbsp;</li><li>Lead weekly enterprise “Orders at Risk” reviews and drive recovery actions across functions&nbsp;</li><li>Improve forecast alignment and customer delivery performance across all manufacturing sites&nbsp;</li></ul><p>3) Multi-Site Supply &amp; Capacity Planning</p><ul><li>Own the master production schedule and enterprise capacity plan across all VMC manufacturing facilities&nbsp;</li><li>Partner with Plant Managers on constraints, bottlenecks, staffing assumptions, and throughput risks&nbsp;</li><li>Lead inter-site load balancing, outsourcing strategies, and make-versus-buy decisions&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure alignment between short-term operational execution and long-term manufacturing footprint strategy&nbsp;</li></ul><p>4) Materials Planning &amp; ERP/MRP Governance</p><ul><li>Establish enterprise standards for ERP/MRP planning logic, parameters, and data integrity&nbsp;</li><li>Oversee shortage management processes and escalation protocols&nbsp;</li><li>Drive improvements in inventory turns, material availability, and excess/obsolete inventory reduction&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure planning accuracy and adherence to ERP/MRP processes across all sites&nbsp;</li></ul><p>5) Supplier Risk &amp; Performance Leadership</p><ul><li>Oversee supplier performance management and risk mitigation strategies in partnership with Purchasing&nbsp;</li><li>Identify and mitigate single-source, long-lead-time, and supply continuity risks&nbsp;</li><li>Champion proactive risk mitigation initiatives including dual sourcing, inventory buffering, and supplier development strategies&nbsp;</li></ul><p>6) Facility Transition &amp; Consolidation Leadership</p><ul><li>Lead supply chain planning strategy for facility consolidations, new building ramp-ups, and operational transitions&nbsp;</li><li>Establish readiness criteria, contingency plans, and operational “go/no-go” milestones&nbsp;</li><li>Provide executive-level visibility into transition risks, mitigation plans, and execution progress&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure continuity of customer commitments throughout facility transitions and operational scaling efforts</li></ul>",
