    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Division of Speech-Language Pathology in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences of the School of Health Sciences and Practice at New York Medical College invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Clinical Education. The Division offers an innovative, medically oriented curriculum that leads to a Master of Science degree. The Division enjoys regular professional interactions with graduate programs within the School of Health Sciences and Practice, the School of Medicine, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and the Touro College of Dental Medicine. On-campus clinical sites include Westchester Medical Center, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, and the Division of Speech-Language Pathology of Boston Children’s Health Physicians, the department’s on-campus clinic. We also work with numerous hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and private practice clinics, providing opportunities for research collaboration. This is a full-time, in-person, 12-month faculty position. New York Medical College offers a competitive salary and benefits packages. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. New York Medical College, founded in 1860, is one of the nation’s oldest private medical and health sciences educational institutions and the first U.S. medical school to accept female students. Since 2011, the College has been a member of the Touro College and University System.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The selected applicant will work closely with the Director of Clinical Education (DCE), who will provide regular guidance and support. Responsibilities will include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assisting the DCE with clinical education coordination (internal and external).</li>\n <li>Student support and evaluation.</li>\n <li>Managing clinical education relationships with clinical partners and educators.</li>\n <li>Maintaining compliance and accreditation standards.</li>\n <li>Occasional travel to clinical sites.</li>\n <li>Other clinical teaching/administrative duties as assigned by the DCE. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Qualified applicants will ideally have prior experience in academic or clinical education coordination, knowledge of ASHA accreditation standards and clinical hours requirements, experience with clinical tracking software systems, leadership or administrative experience in healthcare or academic settings, and a commitment to student success. </li>\n <li>The preferred competencies include a commitment to student-centered clinical education, strong collaborative and relationship-building skills, strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, and experience in cultural competence. </li>\n <li>Applicants must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; a current certificate of clinical competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA; and a New York State license in Speech-Language Pathology with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, including experience in supervising graduate SLP students and/or clinical fellows.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>USD $80,000.00/Yr.\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>USD $100,000.00/Yr.",
