    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Title:</strong><strong>&nbsp;Shift Supervisor &nbsp;Logistics (Inbound &amp; Outbound)</strong></p><p><strong>Date Created: June 12, 2025 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Job Code: 3030 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Salary/Hourly: Salary</strong></p><p><strong>Job Family: Logistics &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Location: McAllen, TX&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Reports to: Operation Manager (Inbound or Outbound)</strong></p><p><strong>Job Description: &nbsp;</strong></p><p>The Shift Supervisor (Inbound and Outbound) is responsible for managing all day-to-day activities related to a particular shift in either the receiving (inbound) or shipping (outbound) function of the production area/warehouse. &nbsp;This role ensures operational efficiency, team productivity, and compliance with safety and quality standards while meeting company KPIs and customer service expectations.</p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Supervise, coordinate, and monitor daily operations and personnel during assigned shift.</li><li>Ensure employees follow safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies.</li><li>Assign and adjust work schedules and responsibilities to meet production or operational demands.</li><li>Train and coach team members on standard operating procedures (SOPs), equipment, and performance expectations.</li><li>Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate goals, safety updates, and other operational information.</li><li>Monitor workflow to ensure productivity, order accuracy, and on-time completion of tasks.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the shift, escalating when necessary.</li><li>Ensure accurate record-keeping (attendance, production logs, inventory tracking, etc.).</li><li>Communicate shift reports and performance updates to management.</li><li>Promote teamwork, employee engagement, and a respectful workplace culture.</li><li>Adhere to all Food Defense, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and HACCP program requirements.</li><li>Own and execute all Quality Management System (QMS) processes relevant to ECP operations.</li><li>Ensure compliance with general safety and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, USDA, FDA, and Texas state regulations.</li><li>Successfully manage daily operations and productivity of a dynamic temporary workforce.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED (required); Associate degree or vocational training in logistics/supply chain is a plus.</li><li>2&ndash;4 years of warehouse/dock experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role in operations, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management.</li><li>Experience in the Food or Produce specific industry is a plus.</li><li>Experience managing temporary and full-time staff is preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Proven ability to drive efficiency, process improvements, and streamline operations.</li><li>Willingness to work flexible hours as needed (including nights/weekends in peak periods).</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Work Environment and Physical Requirements</strong></p><p>The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to energized electrical gear, moving mechanical parts, tools and vehicles. &nbsp;Also, the employee is occasionally exposed to low permissible levels of ionizing radiation.
