Because of the nature of our Christian program; Christian belief, character, and practice are essential requirements of employment positions.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Summary:</strong></p><ul><li>Fulfill the overall ministry of The Shack Retreat and Conference Center and cast a vision to others.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>General Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>This person will have a working knowledge of cooking, cleaning and serving meals.</li><li>This person will have the ability to supervise others with efficiency and concern for others well-being.</li><li>This person will be able to communicate with others; both kitchen workers and other employees of The Shack.</li><li>This person will be organized and able to multi-task&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Specific Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Tasks will vary depending on the position assigned (cook, food prep, dishwasher, etc.)</strong></p><ul><li>Reporting to work on time unless otherwise pre-arranged</li><li>Ready to serve food on time, according to the daily schedules&nbsp;</li><li>Adopting a “clean as you go” policy when working in the kitchen</li><li>Adhering to ServSafe guidelines</li><li>Make sure that all equipment is turned off at the end of the day</li><li>Clean all equipment at the end of your shift (counters, stoves including the fronts, ovens, etc.)</li><li>Assist in taking care of left-over food items</li><li>Add items to shopping list when there’s only one left on the shelf</li><li>Make sure the Food warming cabinet, all cambro storage units and ovens are empty at the end of the meal</li><li>At the end of the day do a walk-through making sure the dish room has been properly shut down and a load of laundry is put in to wash, dining room is clean</li><li>Make sure all red buckets are emptied, washed and put away</li><li>Sweep and mop kitchen and refrigerator daily</li></ul>",
