The <strong>Industry Relations Director&nbsp;</strong>serves as a key representative of ATD (American Truck Dealers) and NADA within the broader automotive community, working to foster collaboration, advocate for industry interests, and promote the growth and success of the sector. This role involves working with both light, medium and heavy duty and commercial vehicle manufacturers.&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"margin-left:10.0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">This is a full-time position with a healthy work culture, competitive salary, and excellent benefits. Duties require significant travel, comprising 30% of the role at times.</span></p><h1 style=\"margin-left:10.0pt;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">The key responsibilities of the Industry Relations Director include:</span></h1><p style=\"margin-left:10.0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\"><em>Effectively represent ATD and&nbsp;NADA Dealer-members&#39; perspectives to automotive manufacturers and key stakeholders by<strong>:</strong></em></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Presenting Industry Relations positions and perspectives at various events while actively participating in industry-related conferences, seminars, and networking events to stay informed about industry trends and developments.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Collaborating with NADA departments for additional research and analysis.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Monitoring industry developments from multiple sources (trade press, public media, direct dealer contact, ATD &amp; NADA Committee activities, trade shows, and manufacturer contacts).</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Analyzing dealers&#39; views on industry developments and manufacturers&#39; policies via the ATD &amp; NADA Dealer Attitude Survey, and ATD Supplier Survey.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:10.0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\"><em>Build strong relationships with OEMs and industry stakeholders by<strong>:</strong></em></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Engaging with state dealer associations, government entities, third-party vendors, Industry Relations dealer committee members and addressing member concerns promptly.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Assisting dealers and dealer councils in issue analysis and in developing resolutions, supported by relevant data and resources.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Partnering with dealers and dealer councils in issue development by providing relevant support data and NADA resources.</li></ul><h1 style=\"margin-left:10.0pt;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Required Job Qualifications:</span></h1><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Minimum 10 years of experience in the retail and/or wholesale automotive industry, with a proven track record of leadership and success <strong>required</strong>.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Experience and strength in delivering presentations at industry events, conferences, or executive meetings <strong>required</strong>.</li><li data-pasted=\"true\" style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Working knowledge of the medium, heavy, commercial vehicle industry, including dealership operations, franchise issues, manufacturer-dealer relationships, and emerging trends.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Bachelor&#39;s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Automotive Management or related field <strong>OR&nbsp;</strong>equivalent amount of relevant training or experience <strong>required</strong>.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Direct experience working with dealers, industry associations, or similar organizations&nbsp;is&nbsp;highly desirable.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Working knowledge of the retail automobile industry, including dealership operations, franchise issues, manufacturer-dealer relationships, and emerging trends.</li><li style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret complex data sets, industry reports, and market trends.
