We serve the best USDA prime steaks, fresh seafood and shellfish along with inventive and innovative main dishes and appetizers. You will be part of a team of Meat and Seafood specialists whose actions will provide guests with a peak dining experience Responsibilities Measured and rewarded by your ability to deliver Talk of the Town Guest Service, encourage optimal Meat and Seafood team performance, and maintain Meat and Seafood operation Responsible for engaging in = conversations with guests and ensure each guest receives an extraordinary experience Drives sales through technical expertise, fast paced momentum and innovative merchandising Successfully train and continuously develop expertise in the Meat and Seafood department Collaborates with Meat and Seafood team to provide world class conditions and presentations including Quality of product, In-Stock, In-Code, product rotation, temperature checks, COOL compliance, accurate labeling, scale accuracy Assist with duties across the Meat and Seafood department including prioritizing guest service, assist guests with locating product, breaking down deliveries, misting of product, stocking cases, building displays, cleaning, posting/monitoring shelf, and case tags/signs for accuracy Responsible for assisting with food production, that recipes are followed, food prep is technically accurate within budgeted ingredient cost goals, follow controls to minimize food and supply waste and follows appropriate repurposing of food waste Ensures that the high standards of Food Safety and Sanitation are always maintained throughout Meat and Seafood sales floor, cooler, freezer, cutting room and backroom through regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment, tables, cases and shelves with organization and sanitation of all backrooms, food prep areas and supplies Identify department trends for guest needs and expectations and collaborates with Team Captain and/or Lead to deliver value and accelerate growth Qualifications Meat/Seafood experience in a Butcher Shop, hospitality, restaurant, or retail environment preferred Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making and financial analysis Ability to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to perform the following physical activities regularly: Walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions (Walking/Standing 90% and sitting 10% of day) Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas and/or products Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force often and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures – walk-in coolers and freezers Exposure to chemicals and cleaning products Operating equipment (baler, compactor, power jack, six-wheeler, box cutter, ovens, knives, slicers) Work Authorization • United States (Required) The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by people assigned to this work.
