    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p>Acuren is currently seeking a Senior Engineering Associate to perform stress analysis and develop run/repair/replace recommendations on industrial fixed equipment.  They will work with the Acuren Engineering team based out of Leander/Houston, Texas area, and travel to industrial facilities as needed to gather equipment data and coordinate/direct equipment inspections. This will be a Hybrid role. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform solid mechanics calculations for fixed equipment to determine if equipment meets code requirements</li>\n <li>Build, analyze, and review finite element models to evaluate pressure equipment for protection against plastic collapse, local failure, buckling, and fatigue</li>\n <li>Develop inspection scopes and review NDE results in support of performing fitness for service assessments</li>\n <li>Perform calculations and oversee CAD work to support repairs and alterations to pressure equipment</li>\n <li>Prepare engineering reports documenting the approach, methods used, results, and recommendations</li>\n <li>Maintain excellent communication lines with team, internal clients, and external clients</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>6+ years of experience in fixed equipment inspection, design, or analysis</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering</li>\n <li>Master’s degree in engineering preferred</li>\n <li>Professional Engineering License preferred</li>\n <li>Excellent working knowledge of solid mechanics</li>\n <li>Excellent working knowledge of ASME BPVC, Section VIII, Division 2, Part 5 (or equivalent code for design by analysis utilizing finite element methods)</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of API 579-1/ASME FFS-1, Fitness-For-Service code requirements</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of Abaqus, Ansys, or equivalent finite element code</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of non-destructive inspection techniques</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of ASME B31 and API 653 codes preferred</li>\n <li>Strong foundation in fracture mechanics preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive Salary</li>\n <li>Medical, dental, and supplemental insurance</li>\n <li>401K Plan</li>\n <li>Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Paid Time Off</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Working Conditions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Office environment with limited physical effort, continuous mental effort, and frequent complex requests for assistance in and out of a lab environment.</li>\n <li>Limited outside environment with continuous physical effort, exposure to 5-7 elements/conditions, moderate mental effort.</li>\n <li>Travel may be required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS & DEMANDS: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Endurance such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, or driving, and frequency/duration in which action is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p>Acuren is a trusted, single source provider of technology-enabled asset protection solutions used to evaluate the structural integrity of critical energy, industrial and public infrastructures.
