Position Summary
The Project Manager (PM) leads project orders or assigned value stream orders from order awareness through final invoicing and beyond, as necessary. The PM is responsible for order planning, schedule compliance, commercial and technical execution, financial performance, stakeholder communication and general order monitoring and controlling. The PM directly manages the members of her/his dedicated cross functional team and coordinates efforts with the support of the project team across all aspects of factory operations.
The project managers handle between 10-20 pump equipment project purchase orders with a total order value between $10M and $20M. Individual projects may have a value of several thousand or multimillion.
Essential Responsibilities
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accepts full ownership of his/her projects from order receipt through final invoicing and beyond.
Utilizes available tools and business systems to monitor and control projects and is hyper-sensitive to critical path tasks and activity due dates, recovery efforts and cause and corrective action development.
Attends production, Gemba and related meetings. Reports to senior project manager on order status and escalates issues as required.
Follows project management organization (PMO) standard methods and processes.
Exhibits solid negotiating skills and can find solutions to difficult problems in a way that’s favorable to the company and fair the customer and/or vendor.
Creatively finds solutions to problems and other challenges.
A team builder who knows what it takes to execute an order and gets the best out of the project team and others. Manages team performance, coaches, and mentors the members of his/her team.
Communicates confidently and effectively with customers and vendors as well as engineering, factory operations, and other managers.
Leads the team to produce work with exceptional quality, meeting established standards.
Uses good decision-making processes.
Shows a bias towards action to meet schedules, plans, and financial objectives. Obstacles are met and overcome vigorously.
Identifies and manages risks to the company’s benefit.
Takes advantage of all opportunities to improve project order profitability through change orders and procurement strategies.
Participates in developing improved processes through continuous improvement.

Position Requirements
EDUCATION: BS in Business, Engineering or a related field equivalent relevant experience.
CREDENTIALS : Holds the PMP certification (or equivalent) or have the desire to obtain a PM certification is desired. EXPERIENCE:
5 years or more in project management, contract management, or equivalent role; preferably in a rotating equipment or engineered manufacturing environment.
Experience with commercial purchase order terms and conditions, compliance requirements and dispute resolutions techniques.
Familiarity with rotating equipment operation and related technology including electrical motors, mechanical seals and related auxiliary systems is preferred.
Familiarity with centrifugal pump industry standards, customers, general knowledge of pump configurations, metallurgies, performance testing, quality, NDE, factory operations and associated documentation is preferred.

Pay-for-performance is a principle that we believe in, and employees are rewarded based not only on ‘what’ they accomplish, but also on ‘how’ they reflect ITT’s values. Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.
Equal Pay Act Range Annual Salary Range $121,800 to $182,400 Plus benefits and incentive plans.
