    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Title:</span> Production Manager – Hermon 2nd Shift</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Department: </span>Operations</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">FLSA Status:</span> Exempt</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br>General Job Summary</span></p>\n<p>Under the supervision of the Vice President of Operations, the Production Manager is fully responsible for all Manufacturing operations on 2nd shift at the Hermon, Maine facility. This position will have 7 to 9 direct reports, manage 8 varied production teams, and oversee a total headcount of 115 to 125 employees once the shift is up to full capacity. The Production Manager is responsible for hitting all production and quality targets. This is a salaried position and general hours of 4:00pm to 1:30am on a daily basis and 3:30am when the team is working overtime.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Job Functions</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Production operations\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures that teams meet all quantity and quality targets and addresses any performance issues immediately</li>\n<li>Motivates teams and Leads appropriately and ensures they are seeing the larger company vision</li>\n<li>Closely oversees training program and ensure that new hires are being trained appropriately</li>\n<li>Ensures on time delivery of all company products to customers</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Team management and development\n<ul>\n<li>Holds direct reports and their teams accountable to quality and quantity targets and addresses performance issues as needed</li>\n<li>Develops future leaders through succession planning and career pathing</li>\n<li>Assists in recruiting efforts with Human Resources as the shift is being developed</li>\n<li>Owns and develops the positive culture of the entire shift</li>\n<li>Addresses employee concerns and issues immediately and partners with Human Resources to manage as needed</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Building Management\n<ul>\n<li>Is responsible for the entire facility during 2nd shift hours</li>\n<li>Proactively communicating and partnering with Maintenance to resolve building or equipment issues via Limble software, email or in person</li>\n<li>Responds to building alarm alerts during evening and early morning hours</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Communication\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures frequent and clear communication to VP of Operations regarding any production or employee issues</li>\n<li>Daily handoff to 1st shift Production Manager via email that clearly outlines all critical information from the shift</li>\n<li>Consistent collaboration with Human Resources on employee issues and challenges</li>\n<li>Ability to effectively determine when a phone call must be made to Human Resources or VP of Operations or if an email is sufficient</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Safety and First Aid\n<ul>\n<li>Willingness to be First Aid certified and treat minor injuries</li>\n<li>Ability to determine if an injury warrants a trip to the emergency room or 911 must be called</li>\n<li>Diligent focus on ensuring safe operations and addressing any safety concerns immediately</li>\n<li>Ensuring that team members are being effectively rotated and that stretching is occurring</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other Duties and Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills/Experience/Training Preferred</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>4+ years of experience working in a Manufacturing environment in leadership role</li>\n<li>High attention to detail</li>\n<li>Superior oral and written communication skills</li>\n<li>Proven ability to effectively lead a team</li>\n<li>Proven ability to meet specific production targets</li>\n<li>Ability to successfully multitask and prioritize multiple projects and/or challenges  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working hours are 4:00pm to 1:30am and 4:00pm to 3:30am when teams are working overtime</li>\n<li>Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to grasp and lift</li>\n<li>Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl</li>\n<li>Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds</li>\n<li>Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus required</li>\n<li>Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts</li>\n<li>Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and vibration</li>\n<li>Regularly exposed to high noise level</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to do this job.
