    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p><strong>Join Our Team as a Dental Assistant!</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Health Services Department at FCI/FSL Elkton- Lisbon, OH<strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-time</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Overview:</strong>Spectrum Healthcare Resources, a premier healthcare services provider, is seeking a dedicated civilian Dental Assistant for a potential opportunity at The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Lisbon, OH. </p>\n<p>If you're passionate about delivering top-quality dental care and thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment, we want to hear from you.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hours of Performance:</strong>Monday to Friday, 0600-1700 (40 hours per week)</p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct comprehensive examinations of patients' oral cavity, including mouth, throat, and pharynx, and record conditions of teeth and surrounding tissues.</li>\n <li>Refer patients with abnormalities such as cavities, defective fillings, suspicious growths, or periodontal disease to the dentist.</li>\n <li>Apply desensitizing and other topical agents to treat abnormalities like gingivitis and oral ulceration.</li>\n <li>Instruct patients, both individually and in groups, in proper oral hygiene care using various materials and techniques.</li>\n <li>Explain the common causes of tooth decay and construct sports/safety mouth guards and soft night guards for vital bleaching.</li>\n <li>Polish restorations, apply pit and fissure sealants, and assist chairside dental assisting when directed by the dental clinic's Officer in Charge (OIC).</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate records of patients treated and ensure proper maintenance and sterilization of instruments.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduation from a dental assistant program that qualifies for state licensure.</li>\n <li>Three letters of reference</li>\n <li>Proof of Hepatitis B vaccination, TB Skin test of chest radiography, AHA CPR certification</li>\n <li>Training in radiation physics, biology, health, safety/protection, X-ray films/digital radiography, image quality, and radiographic techniques meeting or exceeding 42 C.F.R.
