    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">The Sr. Geoscience Technician supports the geoscience staff by providing expertise in geoscience software, software project management, maintaining digital datasets and data management systems. Performs complex data analyses to improve the accuracy and reliability of data and reporting methodologies.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Essential Roles &amp; Responsibilities</strong></span></p><ul><li data-pasted=\"true\" style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Supports corporate and asset teams geophysics data loading and management.</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Create and maintain geoscience projects for Corporate Exploration and BD teams, with primary focus on geophysics and additional support managing well data in geoscience software database to include tops, logs, perforations, directional surveys, and zone data.</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Coordinate data and information flow between geoscientists, other technicians, vendors of data and services, and other departments.</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Facilitate the installation and maintenance of software systems and databases.</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Promote collaboration, multi-disciplinary approaches and integrated solutions to technical problems and opportunities.</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Consult with geoscience staff and management on technical issues and problems and propose solutions.</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Work independently to provide complex technical support to geoscience staff by utilizing database information and software tools to manipulate and analyze data related to well logs and seismic activities.</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Provide advanced-level discipline specific training to new users.</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Recommend design improvements using complex procedures.</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Monitor new technologies and make recommendations for further exploitation of existing technologies.</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Conduct business safely and with the highest ethical standards.</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Computer/Software Applications</strong></span></p><ul style=\"margin-left: 7px ;\"><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\" data-pasted=\"true\">Advanced level of skills with Microsoft Office, ESRI ArcGIS and/or Global Mapper, and geologic and geophysical computer software applications including GeoGraphix/Petrel/SMT Kingdom.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\" data-pasted=\"true\">Independent ability to use programming language or advance tools/AI to navigate database software to query and extract data from multiple sources.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Role-Specific Technical Knowledge &amp; Skills</strong></span></p><ul style=\"margin-left: 7px ;\"><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\" data-pasted=\"true\">Advanced ability to support geoscience software, manage geophysical data, and automate geoscience processes.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\" data-pasted=\"true\">Comprehensive understanding of database structure.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\" data-pasted=\"true\">Well-versed in data organization and management.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Typical Education</strong></span></p><p style=\"margin-left:5.35pt;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Technical associate degree or related experience required.
