This role primarily involves answering telephones, taking accurate messages, scheduling patient appointments, and managing patient referrals. The Patient Service Representative I demonstrate professionalism and productivity while maintaining a positive interaction with our patients.</p>\n<p><strong>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists in patient check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary forms are completed and signed.</li>\n <li>Collects copayments and verifies insurance eligibility with an understanding of basic healthcare insurance benefits.</li>\n <li>Updates patient demographic and insurance information in the CS-Link system accurately and timely.</li>\n <li>Schedules and coordinates patient appointments under supervision.</li>\n <li>Assists in managing physician schedules, handling patient/provider correspondence as directed.</li>\n <li>Provides general administrative support, including answering phones, routing calls, and managing medical records.</li>\n <li>Coordinates and manages patient referrals and authorizations, ensuring that patient interactions comply with healthcare regulatory standards and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's best practices.</li>\n <li>Contributes to maintaining a clean and safe environment in the reception and waiting areas.</li>\n</ul>",
