    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>LPN PRN Opportunity - Millcreek of Arkansas is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who wants to become part of the dynamic and compassionate nursing team in Fordyce, AR.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Available PRN Shifts and Hours in our:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Residential Program for the Intellectually Challenged (ICF/IID), ages 10-17</strong></li>\n <li>Day, Night and Weekend Shifts\n  <ul>\n   <li>Must be flexible with all shifts</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li> 12 hrs\n  <ul>\n   <li>7a-7p and/or 7p-7a</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Millcreek Behavioral Health is a residential treatment center that provides care through our diverse programs for children and adolescents who are suffering from a variety of mental health disorders and/or intellectual challenges. We offer a comprehensive therapeutic program with services that are provided by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, case managers, licensed clinical therapists, registered nurses, nutritionists, and recreational therapists.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</strong></p>\n<p>Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice, as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p>\n<p>· Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice in carrying out care plan objectives and goals.</p>\n<p>· Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrates a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety.</p>\n<p>· Collaborate with others to ensure that patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and when they are not met, acknowledges and works to resolve customer complaints.</p>\n<p>· Provide for the basic comfort of patient, implement nursing interventions identified in the plan of care that is individualized to their needs.</p>\n<p>· Apply appropriate interventions to progress the patient towards wellness and address maintenance of wellness.</p>\n<p>· Discuss the care provided with patient and listen to their concerns. Report status changes and concerns to registered nurses and doctors.</p>\n<p>· Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patient, visitors, coworkers and others involved in the patient's treatment in an effective manner.</p>\n<p>· Provide for the safe delivery of medication in accordance with policies and procedures, physicians orders and/or current practice.</p>\n<p>· Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policy and procedures, other external governing and credentialing bodies, performance improvement standards and psychiatric nursing standards.</p>\n<p>· Responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of the patient symptoms, responses and progress.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>OTHER FUNCTIONS:</strong></p>\n<p>· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<p>· Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.</p>\n<p>· One or more years' of nursing experience within clinical area of service provided by facility preferred.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<p>· Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.</p>\n<p>· CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).</p>\n<p>· First aid may be required based on state or facility.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties from particular jobs when circumstances (e.g. emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs or technological developments) dictate.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are committed to providing equal  employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual’s characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and local laws.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>AHLPN</p>\n<p>#LI-MBH</p>\n<p>#LI-MG2</p>\n<p> </p>",
