You will support experienced electricians by learning and applying electrical techniques, following safety protocols, and troubleshooting issues. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience and develop technical skills in the electrical field.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>In this role, you will be responsible for:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Assist with the installation of electrical systems by assembling and wiring service panels, and installing switches, outlets, light fixtures, ceiling fans, and generator systems</li><li>Work in a range of environments, including hot, cold, and confined spaces, ensuring adherence to safety protocols</li><li>Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials from trucks, ensuring everything is organized and ready for use</li><li>Demonstrate punctuality, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic, contributing to a productive team environment</li><li>Learn and apply electrical techniques under the guidance of experienced electricians, developing skills and knowledge in the trade&nbsp;</li><li>Additional duties as assigned.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>A valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience, excluding the learner’s permit</li><li>A positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work</li><li>Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all organizational levels</li><li>Adaptability, flexibility, and innovation as a team player</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities</li><li>Computer requirements for this role include a basic understanding of using a PC and MS Office Suite, familiarity with phones and tablets, and the ability to access and manage email.</li><li>Candidates should have the ability to read and write effectively, ensuring clear communication and comprehension of job-related materials.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Electrical experience is a plus but not required</li></ul><p><strong>The physical requirements of this job include:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally</li><li>Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work.</li><li>Ability to drive.</li><li>Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces.</li><li>Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.</li><li>Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.&nbsp;</li><li>Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.</li><li>The work requires regular exposure to extreme temperatures both indoors and outdoors, such as heat or cold, and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice or snow.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Southern Home Services will make reasonable accommodations to allow an employee to perform the essential functions of the job.</p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><p>We offer a rewarding career path with great benefits, flexible schedules, professional and on-the-job training, and growth plans.
