    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>JOB SUMMARY:  </span></span></span><span><span>As a member of the Maintenance team and working closely with Production Supervisors, Operators and the Quality team, this experienced Maintenance </span><span>Electrician</span><span> </span><span>is responsible for</span><span> supporting production by keeping the equipment running at </span><span>optimum</span><span> efficiency and responding to and repairing “line down” issues.  Key priorities include </span><span>maintaining</span><span> and improving machine reliability to achieve production scheduled attainment, finished product acceptability, safe plant operations, and facility food safety and security.</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Perform scheduled and regular </span><span>electrical </span><span>preventative maintenance.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Diagnose and repair equipment failures typically under “line-down” pressure.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Install and setup new and used equipment.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, </span><span>wiring</span><span> or devices</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Interpret and </span><span>modify</span><span> PLC programs – use laptop/ladder logic to troubleshoot.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Troubleshoot electrical systems using meters and schematics</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Follow work assignments as specified and detailed on work orders or from the direction of the team lead or Maintenance Manager</span><span>; includes</span><span> the documentation of that work.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Requisition</span><span> necessary parts and materials for repairs within </span><span>appropriate timeframes</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Comply with</span><span> OSHA and other government regulations </span><span>in regards to</span><span> equipment safety and machine safeguarding.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Provide reliable and </span><span>accurate</span><span> information to ensure line efficiency and communicate end of shift pass downs.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Work to ensure minimum downtime is experienced through effective organization and time management.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Complete shift documentation accurately and adhere to all daily standard work.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Comply and adhere to GMP (good manufacturing practice) guidelines, safety protocols, and company policies.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Follow all </span><span>appropriate standard</span><span> operating procedures (SOP's).</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Responsible for the health and safety of self and co-workers.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Perform routine housekeeping of assigned work area and adjacent areas.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Minimum of </span><span>3</span><span>-</span><span>5</span><span> years industrial </span><span>mainten</span><span>a</span><span>nce</span><span> experience </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>General Journeyman Electrical License</span><span> </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Experience in a manufacturing/food production environment </span><span>preferred;</span><span> self-directed work team experience a plus.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Working knowledge of electrical control/drive systems, single and 3-phase power up to 480V and variable frequency drives (VFD’s).</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Understanding of National Electric Code (NEC) and Oregon Electric Code.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment, set priorities to meet deadlines, handle multiple projects, and show good judgement when making decisions and solving problems under pressure. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ability to understand and communicate instructions in English.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ability to provide own hand tools.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL FACTORS</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Position may require repetitive movement, bending and twisting, using hands to handle objects; exposure to sustained noise levels; working in </span><span>very hot</span><span> temperatures; exposure to hazards such as machinery, slippery floors, ladders and powered industrial vehicles.
