At Versiti, we are passionate about improving the lives of patients and helping our healthcare partners thrive.</p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>Under direct supervision by department leadership, performs phlebotomy collection of whole blood and apheresis products. Interacts with donors and coordinators, providing a high level of customer service to deliver an excellent donation experience. Takes pride in and is committed to delivering high quality services. Works cooperatively and is a supportive member of the team/group. Contributes positively to the achievement of team objectives. Incumbent may be responsible for driving, or providing effective interactions with Spanish speaking donors depending on qualifications and business need.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Must be available to support Highland Center* hours after 8 week training:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 11:00am-7:30pm</li>\n <li>Wednesday: 7:30am-3:30pm</li>\n <li>Saturday: 6:30am-3:00pm</li>\n <li><strong>Sunday & Friday – Off days</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>*With availability to cover area centers as needed</strong></em></p>\n<h2>Total Rewards Package</h2>\n<p>The target salary for this position is $17.36 per hour. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>8 weeks paid training (must be availabe to train in Aurora)</li>\n <li>Shift differentials for evenings/weekends\n  <ul>\n   <li>Evenings (after 6:00pm): $1.50/hour</li>\n   <li>Weekends: $2.00/hour</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Skill based % increases offered for advanced phlebotomy skills training</li>\n <li>Additional Bilingual (Spanish) increase available after passing certification exam</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation</strong>The target salary is based on internal averages. Versiti sets salary ranges aligned to local markets in which the job is performed. Compensation decisions take into account internal salary averages and differentiation based on education, experience, skills, and performance. Specific salary and benefits information is shared at the time of the phone screening based on your location and qualifications.<strong>Benefits</strong>Versiti provides a comprehensive benefits package based on your job classification. Full-time regular employes are eligible for Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holidays, Short- and Long-term disability, life insurance, 7% match dollar for dollar 401(k), voluntary programs, discount programs, others.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepares collection site and performs set up, including technology systems (may include quality control).</li>\n <li>Performs donor screening (collects donor histories), mini-physical, and phlebotomy.</li>\n <li>Observes donors for reactions, provides reaction care and assists other staff in handling reactions if needed. May provide post-reaction care at mobile drives including assessing reactions for recovery, escorting donors and serving as liaison to coordinate care with host organization (e.g. high school nurse, drive coordinator.</li>\n <li>Conducts automation (Alyx and/or Trima), including recognizing and responding to automation reactions. Recruits and converts donors for automation.</li>\n <li>Rebooks donors for future donation appointments.</li>\n <li>Understands and performs to all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.</li>\n <li>Recognizes when the customer is distressed and responds appropriately with tact. Creates a safe environment for donors and staff members.</li>\n <li>Treats donors with customer service excellence, presenting a positive image. Responds to customer inquiries, requests and complaints with a timely and complete response and escalates to leader when appropriate.</li>\n <li>May prepare and pack units for transport.</li>\n <li>Maintains product integrity and ensures proper identification of all donors, performs routine maintenance on equipment, and completes department records as needed.</li>\n <li>May be eligible for additional \"Skill\" based pay (Driving, Language, etc), based on employee qualifications and business need. Requires evening, weekend and holiday work hours, and travel to other local collection sites as determined by business need.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification</li>\n <li>Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements</li>\n <li>Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Less than 1 year of job-related experience required</li>\n <li>1-3 years relevant people facing experience preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods, general facts and information and/or the use of simple equipment, machines and materials.
