          "text": "<p>Vacancy type: Existing</p><p>We are currently seeking a qualified&#xa0;<strong>Construction Safety Officer</strong>&#xa0;(CSO) to join our&#xa0;infrastructure&#xa0;team, based out of&#xa0;<strong>Toronto, ON</strong>.&#xa0;The&#xa0;Construction Safety Officer&#xa0;will support active construction works on the Ontario Line Subway project in Toronto.&#xa0; &#xa0; &#xa0;</p><p>This is a <strong>site-based role within a complex, multi-contractor heavy civil and transit environment</strong>, supporting safe execution across major infrastructure packages. You will work closely with contractors and integrated project teams to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and support safe delivery across active construction areas.</p><p>Bantrel Infrastructure, as Delivery Partner alongside Bechtel and Metrolinx, is supporting the Ontario Line Subway project—one of the largest and most complex transit infrastructure programs in Canada.</p><p>The program includes <strong>15 stations, over 15 km of new alignment</strong>, and multiple major construction packages across tunnelling, elevated guideway, and civil works, delivered by leading contractors within an integrated project team environment.</p><p><a href=\"https://www.bantrel.com/careers\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Join us</a>&#xa0;in this&#xa0;full-time&#xa0;permanent&#xa0;role&#xa0;&#xa0;</p><p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Support Project teams to develop Safe Work Procedures and to implement effectively for the safe execution of the works</li><li>Perform formal inspections and audits to ensure compliance with the relevant OHS legislation, standards and contract requirements</li><li>Provide day to day oversight for on-site construction work conducted by contractors to assess contractor compliance against the relevant OHSA legislation and contract requirements, support with the identification of hazards and implementation of risk mitigation controls</li><li>Review site activities and provide support for the protection of workers as well as public, infrastructure and operations</li><li>Engage, coordinate and work with Integrated Project Team and internal/external stakeholders to provide consistent and continuous support</li><li>In collaboration with the Integrated Project team, review, analyze and outline construction activities and work areas to ensure safe and efficient delivery</li><li>Participate and/or support others with incident investigations, including follow up actions to ensure implementation of identified corrective actions</li><li>Assist the Safety Director and Safety team with other tasks as required</li></ul>",
