As such, we are searching for the right candidate to&nbsp;perform Oracle Database Administration tasks on Oracle Databases and has demonstrated expertise in below areas:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Installation of Oracle Database Software</li><li>Perform Backups and Restorations using Export/Import, Data Pump, RMAN etc.</li><li>Performs Patching and Upgrades on Oracle Databases</li><li>Configures Physical and Logical Data Guard, Replication</li><li>Performs Performance Tuning</li><li>Ability to write Shell Scripts, and analyze OEM Reports</li><li>Ability to work with Customers on various projects along with a team of Engineers based on Onsite locations.</li><li>Technical Writing skills would be an added bonus</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Active Secret Clearance</li><li>Bachelors in Science (B. S.) in Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience or Master&#39;s degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>6 years&rsquo; experience with database administration</li><li>Active certification to meet DoD 8140/DOD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ or higher)</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions</p><ul><li>Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.</li><li>Apply Oracle quarterly Database Proactive Bundle Patches (DBBP) and OJVM patches to database servers and databases as they become available to maintain database security.</li><li>Deep understanding of Oracle Backup and Recovery.</li><li>Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures utilizing RMAN, Data Pump and evolving technologies.</li><li>Deep knowledge of various operating systems on which customers run Oracle.</li><li>Deep knowledge on Oracle database migration to encrypted tablespaces.</li><li>Technical Support for Oracle, including management of databases, listeners, and other database components.</li><li>Perform ongoing database administration, maintenance, performance, installation, upgrades, backup, and recovery of Oracle databases.</li><li>Oversee the completion of projects including planning, assigning, monitoring, reviewing progress, and evaluating results.</li><li>Ensure effective flow of communication between the DBA team, customers, and management.</li><li>Perform database tuning and performance monitoring utilizing AWR, Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control 13c, SQL Developer and TOAD.</li><li>Deep knowledge of Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).</li><li>Ability to take ownership of database issues and manage through resolution.</li><li>Setup and maintain documentation to conform to DoD standards.</li><li>Provide guidance and recommendations for capacity planning through sustainment and migration phases of projects.</li><li>Ability to consistently meet, exceed expectations and incorporate customer service into all aspects of work.</li><li>Ability to take ownership of database issues and manage through resolution.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist Developers with application/database setup and configuration.</li><li>Troubleshoot technical issues and provide documented guidance for resolution.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Work Authorization&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis, without sponsorship by employer.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>AAP/EEO Statement</strong></p><p>It is the policy of SandTech Solutions<strong>&nbsp;</strong>to provide an equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees. &nbsp;The Company does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, age, medical condition, disability, workers&rsquo; compensation status, or veteran status.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Information Summary:</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>One of two sites are &ndash; Pentagon, or Joint Base Anacostia Bolling (JBAB).
