What You’ll Do Day-To-Day Performs layout and design work from the data supplied utilizing theoretical and practical engineering knowledge. Ensures conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures. Consults with engineering staff and technicians to ensure compliance with design specifications and has a working understanding of the engineering design process. Applies advanced techniques in CAD and standard design applications utilizing this equipment. The following Skills will be used to differentiate between candidates:1. Significant experience with the complete mechanical design of assemblies in SolidWorks. Design for human error and incorporate error proofing principles.2. Proficient in the creation of SolidWorks models and drawings, utilizing industry best CAD practices.3. Collaborate with Engineering to evaluate mechanical systems toward applicable mechanical standards, human factors, error proofing by design, and maintenance best practices.4. Provide field support including as-build drawings of new installations, integration into existing systems.5. CAD administrator experience - implementation of new CAD tools, development and modification of templates. What You'll Bring High School diploma or equivalent education with a minimum of 8 years of related experience is required, including completed coursework in drafting and CAD. Advanced knowledge of CAD workstations for creating 2D and 3D drawings. Knowledge of drafting. Ability to interpret and apply design criteria and technical documentation. Ability to ensure accuracy in drawings in compliance with standards. Excellent communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data. Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment. Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly. Exposure to use of CAD modeling and computer programming skills. Total Rewards Package Salary: $47.70 - $62.60 per hour and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. Health & Wellness: Multiple medical plan options, dental & vision coverage, life insurance, long- and short-term disability, and optional supplemental plans (critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, dependent life). Retirement: 401(k) with employer match. Paid Time Off: Up to 3 weeks of vacation, 8 sick days, and 13 paid holidays annually.
