Together, we are making a difference, one life at a time. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Your Mission in Action</strong></p>\n<p>The Safety Monitor ensures continuous supervision and accountability by actively monitoring all site cameras. They report any suspicious activity or policy violations that could harm others and work to maintain the safety of both Unaccompanied Children (UC) and staff members. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides security monitoring by maintaining surveillance systems and ensuring they are always recording </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensures correct dates and times are recorded on the surveillance systems </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>May provide direct supervision UC and ensure they maintain line-of-sight always </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Participates in ongoing meetings, conferences, training programs as required </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for adhering to all Upbring, ORR standards, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Follows Upbring safety policy </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Participates and supports safety meetings, training, and goals </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensures the safe operating conditions within area of responsibility, such as walking the building premises, checking all doors, vehicles, and outside grounds  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains a clean and orderly work area </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Other duties and projects as assigned </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Safety Monitor Minimum Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED equivalent</li>\n <li>Must be at least 21 years of age</li>\n <li>Bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, speak)</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain security equipment  </li>\n <li>Ability to use visual and auditory awareness within the work environment </li>\n <li>Ability to use good judgement and think quickly and rationally in difficult and stressful situations </li>\n <li>Ability to remain calm and exhibit compassion </li>\n <li>Ability to work in a team environment and independently </li>\n <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills </li>\n <li>Proficient with basic computer skills, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Safety Monitor Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates degree in human services related filed</li>\n <li>1 year security monitoring experience</li>\n <li>1 year of experience in a childcare or residential care for adolescents</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Perks at Upbring</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive PTO & paid holidays </li>\n <li>Health, dental, vision insurance & more! </li>\n <li>403(b) Plan</li>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Discounted Gym Memberships </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands & Work Conditions for a Safety Monitor</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>This position requires sitting and looking and using a computer for long periods of time </li>\n <li>Position works in a child facility and has constant exposure to children </li>\n <li>Position requires frequent standing, walking and time in units/cottages which are areas where children reside </li>\n <li>Lift, push, pull, move up to 25 lbs.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><em>The physical requirements for this position with or without reasonable accommodation are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this position successfully.
