The Nursing Department invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty appointment in our ACEN-accredited Associate Degree Nursing program and/ or upcoming Licensed Practical Nurse program.   Major responsibilities include teaching nursing theory, clinical instruction and evaluation, lab instruction and evaluation; curriculum development and evaluation with opportunities to incorporate SIMS activities, student mentoring and advisement to ensure strengthening of knowledge, skills, and competencies.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The successful candidate will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Use appropriate technology to deliver and enhance learning</li>\n <li>Be innovative in the presentation of lectures and hands-on learning activities that achieve learning outcomes</li>\n <li>Provide timely feedback on students' assignments and exams throughout each semester</li>\n <li>Assess learning outcomes and adapt curriculum to meet learning objectives</li>\n <li>Be responsive to student questions and available for student support</li>\n <li>Demonstrate insight and encouragement in working with diverse student populations, especially students traditionally underrepresented in higher education</li>\n <li>Provide appropriate academic advising to students to support timely degree or certification completion; and,</li>\n <li>Be accountable to meet the needs of the Department and the College, including timely submission of grades and other required materials.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Min Compensation </h2>USD $61,466.00/Yr.\n<h2>Max Compensation </h2>USD $61,466.00/Yr.\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college, university or foreign equivalency is required to instruct in the AAS RN program. </li>\n <li>At least three (3) years current acute-care experience, recent preferred. </li>\n <li>Candidates must be qualified to assist students with bedside nursing care and possess a broad knowledge of current and evolving clinical technology with advanced computer skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>College, vocational or proprietary school teaching experience.</li>\n <li>Experience with designing and conducting clinical laboratory simulations and a working knowledge of operating simulation manikins.</li>\n <li>Experience with distance education.</li>\n <li>Experience with mastery learning and instructional modules.</li>\n <li>Experience in student advisement.</li>\n <li>Formal course work in nursing education.</li>\n <li>Bilingual in English and Spanish.
