Description
The Sr Accountant is responsible for the reconciliation of customer accounts receivables, estimation of related bad debt allowance, and various other accounting/reporting functions.
Making an Impact
• Ownership of the reconciliation of various Accounts Receivable balances, including monthly reconciliations of AR detail to general ledger, analysis of unbilled AR, and trend analyses including DSO comparisons.
Sharing Expertise
• Responsibility for quarterly estimation process for the bad debt allowance. Includes coordination among various home office teams including credit and collection departments, as well as among various levels of management.
• Participate in the closing process through preparation and review of consolidated financial statements and schedules, research, and journal entries.
Gaining Exposure
• Influence team and internal clients through functional knowledge and solution options to resolve problems.
Your Typical Day
• Continually review and evaluate information flows and transaction processing in assigned tasks. This review and analysis should include process improvement recommendations and implementation to ensure the most effective and efficient processes.
• Prepare and/or maintain ongoing documentation of current processes and procedures.
• Participate in special projects as the need arises.
Other accountabilities as assigned
