The Diesel Technician will perform mechanical repairs, maintenance, overhauls, and rebuilds of heavy-duty trucks and other related equipment.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Major Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<div>Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions or damage</div>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<div>Perform all mechanical repairs, maintenance, overhauls, and rebuilds of heavy-duty trucks and other related equipment</div>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<div>Test drive vehicles and test components and systems, when applicable</div>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<div>Use equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices</div>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<div>Use electronic test equipment to locate and correct malfunctions in fuel and emissions control systems</div>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<div>Inspect belts, hoses, steering systems, brakes, fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas for additional repairs needed</div>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<div>Test electronic computer components to ensure that they are working properly</div>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and gauges</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n",
