This role owns financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis, with a focus on driving margin improvement, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making. The Director of Business Finance leads the development of budgets and forecasts, delivers forward-looking analysis, and provides clear financial narratives to executive leadership, while working in close partnership with the Controller to ensure alignment between financial results and operational drivers.</p><p><strong><u>Supervisory Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Provide strong leadership, setting a positive example and fostering a collaborative work environment.</li><li>Manage and develop a team, providing feedback, coaching, and guidance to support their growth and success.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Essential Duties</u></strong></p><ul><li>Lead the development, coordination, and communication of the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans in partnership with operations, sales teams, and executive leadership.</li><li>Lead financial performance analysis and reporting, including analysis of revenue, margin, volume, mix, labor, and productivity drivers versus plan, forecast, and prior periods.</li><li>Partner closely with operations leadership to provide plant- and business-unit&ndash;level financial insight, including cost behavior, efficiency metrics, and operational leverage.</li><li>Serve as the primary finance business partner to Sales &amp; Marketing teams, providing financial analysis to support pricing strategies, customer profitability analysis, and deal economics.</li><li>Develop and maintain standardized management reporting, KPIs, and dashboards to support executive and operational decision-making.</li><li>Provide financial analysis and scenario modeling to inform strategic initiatives, capital investments, and growth opportunities.</li><li>Translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations for executive leadership, with a focus on forward-looking risk and opportunity identification.</li><li>Collaborate with the Controller to align financial results, forecasts, and operational drivers while maintaining appropriate segregation of duties between accounting and financial planning.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy, analytics automation, and data usability across the organization.</li><li>Lead and mentor FP&amp;A and business finance team members, fostering strong analytical capability and business acumen.</li><li>Support Board, bank, and management presentations through forward-looking analysis, performance narratives, and strategic financial insights.</li><li>Act as a key change agent in advancing financial literacy across the organization by educating leaders on financial drivers, KPIs, and performance levers.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Required Skills and Abilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.</li><li>Handles the most complex issues. Detail oriented, ability to meet deadlines.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to create and build strategically while maintaining willingness to and ability to execute in a hands-on way.</li><li>Performs work with a high degree of latitude.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Education and Experience</u></strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of financial and economic principles normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.</li><li>7 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and experience with ERP&rsquo;s (Microsoft D365, FinOps, Infor-Syteline),&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with SSRS Reporting, Power BI and/or SQL Coding, is preferred.</li><li>Experience with financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting.</li><li>Experience with ERP optimization and automation to initiatives to improve financial processes and reporting.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></p><ul><li>Capability to lift and carry objects up to 15lbs of various weights such as office supplies.</li><li>Proficiency in using hands, fingers, and arms for tasks such as typing and writing.</li><li>Sufficient visual acuity to read company documents.</li><li>Ability to hear and understand verbal communication.</li><li>Endurance to withstand duties that involve repetitive tasks.</li><li>Ability to sit for extended periods of time, especially for office-based roles that involve desk work or operating computer systems.</li><li>Flexibility to bend, stoop, and reach low or high objects.</li><li>Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and wear protective gear as required by the job.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Travel Requirements&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>This position requires occasional overnight travel and/or occasional travel during the workday. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Driver Qualification</u></strong></p><p>The ability to drive a company owned/leased vehicle or personal vehicle on behalf of the company is preferred.&nbsp;</p><p>Inclusion in the company&rsquo;s driver qualification program is required to drive a company owned/leased vehicle or personal vehicle.&nbsp;</p><p>Becoming a qualified driver includes:</p><ul><li>Agree to the company driving policies that apply to company owned/leased vehicle or personal vehicle as applicable.</li><li>Possess and maintain a valid driver license and be a minimum of 21 years of age.</li><li>Maintain an acceptable driving record, as evidenced by completion of a baseline motor vehicle record check and ongoing monitoring.</li><li>When driving a personal vehicle on behalf of the company, must provide a copy of the declaration page from personal auto insurance that shows the policy dates and minimum coverage amounts ($300,000 bodily injury per accident/$100,000 property damage per accident <u>or</u> if driving less than 5 hours/200 miles a year $50,000 bodily injury per accident/$10,000 property damage per accident or the state minimum, whichever is more).
