There are currently 91 Beacons located throughout the five boroughs of New York City operating in the afternoons and evenings, on weekends, and during school holidays and vacation periods, including the summer. Our goal is to give each participant, regardless of age, a positive and fun learning experience in a safe, friendly environment.</span> &nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"color: black;font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Instructors will teach a class of students that are assigned by grade level.</span> <span style=\"color: black;font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Classes take place M-Fri. between 2p.m. and 6p.m. Hours of work can range from 6-12 hours a week during the school year and can increase over the summer.</span> &nbsp;</p><p><br><span style=\"color: black;font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong><ins>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</ins></strong></span> &nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"color: black;font-family: Symbol;\">&middot;</span> <span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Teach engaging, age-appropriate lessons plans in a designated content area- Academic Enrichment- ELA or Math, Art, Dance, Science, Art, Karate, Sports/Recreatio, STEM, Woodshop.
